CHAPTER 1:JAKE
The date was August 25,1900.Jake O'Briant was in his backyard chopping up firewood when his best friend Matthew O'Leary walked up."Jake,I want to show you something!Follow me!"Matthew called and ran into the woods.Jake had no choice but to follow his friend,a few minutes later he caught up to Matthew and that's when Jake's best friend changed Jake's life...forever.

Jake O'Briant still looks like he did 104 years ago.Black hair,dark brown eyes,tall,muscular,and he is still 16 years old!Well,he looks like it anyways.But in fact,he is 120 years old.Matthew is still his friend,but not a very good one.Because 104 years ago on that night Jake was turned...Matthew betrayed him and killed his entire family.Jake could not bear seeing his only brother,Alexander,die at the age of 9 years old.Rachel,Jake's older sister,was killed that night too.
Now,in 2004,Jake attends WRHS and has no friends,not even Matthew.Jake,a jock,nerd,story-writer,musician,artist,and awesome strategist,is the biggest loner in the whole school.Little did he know that a girl,a freshman to be exact,would befriend him with her interests in his artwork and music.Her name is Isabelle Matthews.Isabelle isn't your typical girl either.She doesn't go by her first name,she goes by her middle:Carrissa.
Jake knows Carrissa's older brothers,Conner & Craig,very well.Conner is a big-shot on the football,and basketball teams.Craig is a genius,but a comedian too.They are twins and whenever Carrissa is talking with her guy friends,they drag her away.She dresses like a guy,talks like one,and acts like one too,except,she's not bi like some people think,she has crushes on several guys and she has many friends who are guys and many who are girls.Jake was caught once going over to her by Conner.Conner had a hissy-fit and tried to beat Jake up.Big mistake on Conner's part.
Let's just say,Jake tapped him lightly and Conner fell to the ground with a loud thud.Jake gathered his things up and headed to his 6th hour.Carrissa and her best friend(out of the girls) Michelle,laughed extremely hard.Anyways,back to Jake.He steers clear of everyone,even the teachers,when he can!He's in chess club,math club,drama club.He's on the football team,soccer team,basketball team,track team,baseball team,boys tennis,and boys golf.He plays D&D(dungeons and dragons),draws,paints,and writes stories about his past.His first story he wrote of his past,he never used his real name,Matthew's real name,or his family members' real names' either.It was published in Jake's '8th grade school year.'Of course,he looked like an 8th grader then.
His first novel was called 'In an Eagle's Sight.'If you were to catch a peek at Jake's left shoulder when he isn't wearing a jacket you would see an eagle tatoo.On his right shoulder,there is a tatoo of a silver wolf with red eyes.On his left wrist however is a tatoo of a bloody fang and his sister's name and little brother's name beneath it.Never ask him about that tatoo because he'll cry.He's not like all the other guys who claim they don't cry ever,Jake ain't scared to show emotions anymore.Well...he's scared to show one emotion,love.
