Promise
"I promise Sakura, that I'll come back after my work in Hong Kong is finished."
Sakura sat at her window and sigh, "Syaoran, it's been four years since you said that." Ring Ring Sakura snapped out of her daydream and got up to answered it, "hello, Kinomoto resident, Sakura speaking, oh, Tomoyo, sure, okay, I'll come over, bye."
Fifteen years old Sakura Kinomoto got ready and went over to her best friend, Tomoyo Dadouji's house.
Sakura walked inside Tomoyo's gigantic mansion. There, the maids greet her as Miss Kinomoto.
"Konnichiwa!" Tomoyo said to Sakura, "let's go to my room."
Tomoyo's room was beautiful with peach color walls and a cherry blossom rug. Her room looks like a cherry blossom orchard.
"Sit down Sakura, and I'll tell the maids to bring us some tea," Tomoyo said.
While Tomoyo told her maids to bring them tea and snack, Sakura looked around the room, her mind filled with precious old memories.
It hurts Tomoyo to see her best friend looking like this these pass four years.
"Sakura...please...don't worry..." Tomoyo said worried.
"I know, I've tried, but I just can't I've waited every single day for him. I never realized how much I missed him and how much I want to see him, I always wonder what he's doing there without me. I'm always afraid that he might forget me and find some other pretty girl. But I've tried Tomoyo, I've tried!" Sakura said starting to cry.
"Don't worry Sakura, he promised, I know that he's not the type of people that lies to others, he always does as he say," Tomoyo said trying to be helpful, "on the other hand, do you want to go to the park?" Sakura agreed, wiping away her tears.
Sakura and Tomoyo were walking and enjoying the great outdoor, when all of a sudden Sakura bumped into someone. She apologized to that person and looked to see that the person was Eriol Hiiragizawa.
"Hey, watch where you're going," Eriol said.
"I said I was sorry," stated Sakura.
"Oh yeah, I heard that Syaoran didn't come back yet, am I right," Eriol said starting to laugh.
"Oh you, stop making fun of Syaoran," Sakura said starting to get annoyed.
"I can't believe that you've been waiting for him all these years!" he laughed.
She knew that that was exactly what she thought, wasting her time waiting for someone who might be married already and she wouldn't know. Someone caught her hand as she was about to slap him, "Tomoyo, let me go, don't try to stop me," Sakura yelled not looking back, "I could never forgive anyone who makes fun of Syaoran."
"But...I'm not Tomoyo," said a voice behind her.
Sakura froze at the familiar voice, "Syaoran!" Sakura said feeling both embarrass and startled.
The handsome chestnut colored hair boy with brown eyes stared into her green emerald eyes.
"I told you that I'll come back, I'm sorry it took so long, I had to finish my training," Syaoran said holding Sakura in his arms.
"It's alright, as long as you're with me now," she whispered in his ear.
"Well, he's back," Tomoyo whispered to Eriol, "I thought that he already had another girlfriend, I guess I underestimated him, huh."
Eriol just nodded as they both looked at the happy couple. 'They look so strong and alive together...yet so fragile...'
