But I guess that's just how the story goes

Yuugi looked over at Yami, wanting so bad to say something, something to make Yami stay. It was a stupid fight but it was over so quickly and now Yami said he was leaving. That he couldn't stay there anymore. He said he couldn't take fighting constantly with Yuugi anymore. Why was Yami so upset? All Yuugi had said was that he saw him and Seto hug. He never said or even applied that Yami was cheating. He just wanted to know what had happened that night.

Yami smiled at Yuugi. "I have to leave now." He said. Yuugi grabbed Yamis hand. It was so warm. And it was shaking. It was Yamis nerves. Yami looked into Yuugis eyes, and tried to say it was over. But he couldn't get the words out. Yuugi could see the pain written in Yamis eyes. If he loves me so much, why does he want to leave. Yuugi thought. He could feel the warm tears traveling up in his eyes.

Yuugi let go of Yamis arm and watched as Yami left the house. Yuugi drew his knees up and put his arms around them and placed his face down as the tears poured down his cheeks. "Why Yami?" He whispered. "Why are you leaving me so alone." Yuugi had fallen asleep in his tears.

The next day Yuugi had awoken and turned wanting to see Yami next to him. But it was empty. There was no comforting snore next to him. It was empty. Why couldn't I say anything to him? He questioned. He stood up and dressed into a pair of blue jeans and white shirt. Then he went over to Jous. Maybe he would no where Yami was.

Jou opened the door and frowned at Yuugi. "Hey Yuugi, what are you doing here so early?"

Yuugi smiled. "I'm so sorry, I was just wondering if Yami was here?" He said. Jou shook his head. Yuugi thanked him and left.

Yuugi found Yami sitting by the lake alone throwing rocks into the lake. "Yuugi, what do you want?" Yami asked without even turning around.

"How did you know it was I?" Yugi asked a little shocked, that he knew. And a little shocked at the harshness in his voice.

Yami turned to look at Yugi, his eyes were narrowed down in a glare but the pain still showed in his eyes. "I can smell your cologne." He said. "You are the only one who wears that kind of cologne around here."

Yuugi walked up and sat down besides Yami taken a hold of his hand. "Yami, Please come back to me." Yuugi said.

"Yuugi, it is over. You deserve much better then what I could offer." He stated. "Don't you know I love you?" Yami said.

Yuugi smiled. This was the first time that Yami had ever said those words. Yuugi grinned. "I only want you. I don't care about the material things." He said. "I don't care how many fights we have, I only want you." He said honestly. "I love you Yami."

"Do you mean it?" Yami said.

"I thought I would die last night." Yugi said. "You mean so much to me. If you leave now, I will die. I will die Yami. I love you so much."

Yami held Yuugi tightly. "I won't leave you Yuugi. I am happy to know you love me to."
