The Other Child
~Chapter Three~

"I love you," I said.
She shut the door. I stayed standing in the hallway. About five minutes passed and the door re-opened. (It scares me how well we know each other sometimes)
"Hiei...I...." she looked at the ground.
I lifted her head up and looked into her sapphire eyes.
"Bo."
"Yes?"
"I..."
We turned at the sound of a yawn. Kurama stumbled out of the next room. He was getting into the nasty habit of disrupting my plans. I could just hear Yoru suppress a screech or rage at the fox. But I don't think Bo heard her. When I turned back to the doorway Boku had disappeared back inside her room. I considered knocking again but decided it would be best to wait until another time.
Defeated I wandered down the hall to my room.

The next day while they were making breakfast I kept catching Yoru sending evil looks at Kurama. I quietly sipped my coffee. Boku came downstairs late. She had one hand on her stomach.
"I don't feel good..." she muttered as she sat down.
There wasn't much talking after that. And no mention of last night. A little later in the day Yusuke came over. He was thrilled to see Kurama and Yoru. It seemed like such a long time since they had gotten back. I had forgotten it had been yesterday.
Along with him Yusuke had a black puppy dog.
"Everybody, Oz," said Yusuke introducing us to the dog. "Oz, everybody."
Yusuke let the dog go it explored the house as we all talked. Kurama happily re-told the honeymoon story. Yusuke teased Yoru for a bit on being tan. Then it was business. Or what they liked to call business. Otherwise known as; planning a wedding.
They had already settled on a date. December 16th. One month from now. Yusuke, Kurama, and Bo poured over books with wedding stuff in them. Yoru made comments when necessary. I just kind of sat there.
Later on we ordered a pizza and sat around watching movies. I wasn't really paying attention. There was a lot on my mind. How was I going to get Bo back? I mean was she really in love with Yusuke? I guess in my own thoughts it didn't make sense that Boku was getting married to Yusuke when she was pregnant with my baby. It kind of makes me wonder, when had he originally proposed. Was it before or after she knew?
Kurama poked me and handed me the bowl of popcorn. I looked at all the others. Yoru was sitting on the floor in front of Kurama leaning against his legs. Bo and Yusuke were sitting together in the chair across the room. I looked down and found Oz sitting on my feet. I picked the small dog up and absent-mindedly scratched his ears.
I knew I wasn't going to get much time alone with Boku now that the wedding was so close. Yusuke would be over a lot. Or she'd be at his place. I had lost valuable time last night. Damn Fox.

Maybe this chapter was a little dry in the middle near the end. I like the part where Kurama messes up Hiei's chances and Yoru gets all pissed. It's like she wants them to hook up more than Hiei does LOL. Anywho what do all of you think? Thanx to everyone that reviewed! You guys are great! =D
