This is my first fic. It's probably not that good, but I don't care. I don't know where I'm going with it either, so just bear with me. I own Aurelia, Jordan, and Keiji (they are Canadian, by the way), as well as the plot. And I promise Aurelia is not a Mary Sue. She has a purpose in the story, as well as a dark past, and some secrets, too.

Chapter One—The New Kids

The sun beat down on the withered lawns and gardens of Privet Drive. Harry Potter, a small skinny boy, propped himself up on his elbow as the next- door neighbours' car pulled into their driveway. Harry was sitting on the garden wall at the time, but felt it would be nosey to sit and stare from is current position. He ducked behind some bushes and peeked out from behind the leaves.

First Mrs. Simmons (a/n: the next-door neighbour, obviously) got out of the driver's side, followed by three teenagers, who looked to be about Harry's age. Two were boys, one with light brown skin and dark curly hair, the other was Asian, with shaggy black hair down to his shoulders, and thin glasses. They got out on the side closest to Harry. The other person was a girl, with long, wavy, almost-black hair that hung to her elbows. She had the palest green eyes that Harry had ever seen. They scanned the street, and landed on the bush that Harry was hiding under. Harry quickly ducked, and the girl looked away.

Each teenager pulled a large trunk out of the back of the car, and followed Mrs. Simmons into her house. They looked as if they would be staying for a while. Ducking out of his hiding spot, Harry saw a quick movement inside number four. Apparently Aunt Petunia had been watching the new arrivals as well. It must run in the family, Harry thought.

The next day, Harry was once again banished from the house. He walked to a nearby play ground and sat on a swing.

"Some birthday this is turning out to be," he mumbled to himself. Today he was sixteen, and his aunt and uncle hadn't even acknowledged he was alive. But the thought that he would be getting his cards and gifts from his friends later that night (the owls permitting) cheered him up slightly.

The metal chains creaked as someone sat in the swing next to Harry's. Startled, he looked up and saw it was the girl from the previous day. Harry was stricken by how beautiful she looked. A thin line of black eye liner framed her large, pale eyes, and a few strands of dark brown hair had escaped from the rest, which were tied back, and hung in loose ringlets. She wore a green tank top that matched her eyes, and black boy's shorts.

She stared directly into Harry's eyes and said, "Hello, Harry."

Harry was shocked, "How do you know my..."

"Name?" she finished. "Everyone knows your name, Harry. At least, all wizards know your name."

Harry looked around to make sure there were no Muggles around. "So, does that mean that you're a..." he trailed off.

"Yeah, and so are Jordan and Keiji, the guys who are here with me."

Curiosity stirred within Harry. He had seen other nationalities of wizards, but he had never met a foreign witch his own age.

"So, are you going to Hogwarts, then?" he asked.

"Uh huh," she replied. A shrill beeping went off. The girl looked at her watch, pressed a button, and it stopped.

"Listen, I have to go now. But it was nice talking to you." She got up and started to walk away. She turned around and said, "By the way, happy birthday."

"Thanks," Harry replied. He paused, and then yelled after the retreating girl: "What's your name?"

"Aurelia," the girl called, then disappeared over a hill.

"Aurelia," Harry whispered to himself. He couldn't wait to see her again.

Okay, so that was the first chapter (in case you didn't notice). I have never reviewed, so I won't hold my chapters hostage. If you want to review, go for it. I'd love feed back. I'll put up the next chapter when I'm done it.
