To come back
And be a part of this place
Was enough to make him cry.
All of the changes
That Wyatt had made
Caused this sanctuary, the manor, to go array.
And as he lay bleeding,
He wanted to die—
Just for Wyatt, why, oh why?
She came so close,
His own future mother;
And it took all he had not to turn away.
His heart torn with memories
And pain like no other,
He bit back what he yearned to say.
And as he lay bleeding,
It was freedom he craved—
Just for Wyatt, somewhere far away.
Then there was that fool
With promises he couldn't not keep,
Just orbing Up There without second thought.
He let Piper down,
Watched her die, watched Chris weep
Forgetting the harsh battle in which they fought.
And as he lay bleeding,
His anger was hot—
Just for Wyatt, and the power he sought.
Seeing the baby,
So innocent, so pure,
Not even aware of his horrid fate.
Chris had always hoped
He'd find the cure
To fix the brother he'd grown to hate.
And as he lay bleeding,
He knew he was too late—
Just to give Wyatt a new, clean slate.
"Just kill me now,"
Chris begged the demon,
Knowing the poison would coarse through slow.
"Somebody, anybody,"
He called without reason
Since nobody was here, nobody would know.
And as he lay bleeding,
Dying at the hands of a foe—
Just so Wyatt wouldn't become so low.
The demon gives
A twisted glare,
Laughing at his prize;
"I have killed
A Charmed One's heir
Right in the blink of an eye."
And as he lay bleeding,
He muffled his cries—
Just because he took Wyatt on for size.
He shakes in fear,
"Leo!" he croaks,
As the pain begins to do more than just hurt.
The man he called "dad" orbs
Sees his shirt blood-soaked
And inside of his chest, his heart give a lurch.
And as he lay bleeding
He felt like he was breathing in dirt—
Just so Wyatt could have his lesson learnt.
Seeing the new man,
The demon shimmers out,
Knowing what Leo was by sight.
Leo bent down to heal
Ignoring his doubt
That his un-breathing son would be alright
And as he lay bleeding,
He could almost see lights—
Just because Wyatt kept wanting to fight.
Just because of Wyatt,
It was all for him
Chris had lead in crummy life in vain.
Always the shadow
Of the brother of great sins
He couldn't end years of betrayal and pain.
And as he bleeding,
Feeling anything but safe—
Just because Wyatt had gone insane.
Leo kept trying,
Healing again and again
But the effort didn't change a thing.
With blurry tears
He knew that Chris' life had to an end—
And then he heard the telephone ring.
As Chris lay un-bleeding,
It was but one thing he said—
"Piper, it's Leo—Chris is dead."
And be a part of this place
Was enough to make him cry.
