Aragorn…dead? It cannot be! Not now…not now that we have made it this far. That orc may have been lying…and yet his eyes held only truth, and also the pain and deceit of a thousand murders led on a filthy heart which knew no love. I cannot see him anywhere. The pendant of Arwen Undomiel is naught but a symbol…he may be alive…but he would not leave my heart frozen in fear for so long…he would have shown himself by now. He is nowhere to be seen. I doubt he could survive the raging torrents of the river, and he would have to miss the jagged rocks below. I will go down and search and I know Théoden and Gimli will be willing to aid me in my search.

NO! You cannot be serious! What about Aragorn? We can't just leave him! But your eyes hold no lies…you have no compassion for him…all you want is for Rohan to be safe, but it shall not be so while the Ring remains in existence.

But if by chance you are still alive,
Fail not to return to Gimli and I.

I shall go to Helms Deep with Gimli, Théoden and the survivors but I shall return as soon as I may in search of Aragorn and to mourn in silence.
And may the Valar save us from this peril and give us luck…………we'll need it!!!!!!
