"Kagome.... Kago. Whoa.... wait up!" called Sango. A tanned girl with dark brown hair ran to catch up with the ivory skinned girl on front of her. "Hurry up Sango. We're going to be late again!" Kagome called. She was running down the street with her long jet-black hair half-trailing, half flowing behind her. "I know, but I was hoping to she... ugh...I mean see Inuyasha." Said Sango. Her olive green eyes sparkled teasingly. Kagome blushed a little. Even though she only blushed a little bit, it was very noticeable against her light skin. "I knew it, I knew it! You do like Inuyasha!" cried Sango. "D-d-don't b-be ridiculous." stammered Kagome. "W- w-why would I like In...Inu...Inuyasha?!?" "Because, he's smart, talented, strong –" "Yeah, and he's also arrogant and a jerk too! Every girl who asks to go out with him he says 'Why would I waste my time on you.' or 'You! Yeah right.'" Said Kagome heatly. She would have been one of those girls, but her friend Mimi saved her. "Don't ask him out. He'll only break your heart; like he did mine." "Why? I mean he seems like a nice guy." "Yeah until he says 'yeah right' in your face." I swear, that one day I'll hurt you just like you hurt Mimi, Inuyasha!!
"See you in study hall!"called Sango. With her bangs bouncing in her face like that she looks a little like a monkey! thought Kagome as she stared after Sango. She started getting a drink of water, totally unaware of the person coming up behind her. An unfamiliar voice in her ear said, "Hey Kago, waz up?" Kagome shuddered; fear coursed though her body. Slowly Kagome turned around and got a face full of teeth. It was Miroku her friend down the lane. "Long time, no see huh? I just got back from traveling with my parents." Miroku leaned on a locker beside Kagome while she finished her drink. "Boy did you give me a scare. I thought you were-'' "Inuyasha?" "No, a teacher. Why did you bring that bozo's name up?" "' Cause, he's right behind you." Kagome gasped. She whirled around and came face-to-face with a tall silvered-haired boy. Well, at least half boy. He was half demon too! "A bozo, am I?" said Inuyasha curtly. His golden eyes piercing Kagome's gray- blue ones. "What I said is what you are!" said Kagome sharply. She whirled around and started to drink. Oh-my-gawd! I just carried Inuyasha! I am soooooo dead!!!! thought Kagome. In a flash Inuyasha's head was by hers, his cheek on her neck; his lips in her ear.... Saying "I have more powers far beyond your understanding. Don't mess with me!" "You have power alright, power to get away from me." Inuyasha raised his head, looked straight in her eye and said, "You got guts, girl!" He turned and stalked down the hallway. Miroku stared after him before saying "He's right, you do got guts." "What do you mean?" "I'll tell you what I mean if you a) pick up your books and b) let me walk you to class." Kagome blushed. "I'd be honored." She said with a giggle.
"So, as you can see girls are simply afraid of him" "I ain't afraid of Inuyasha." "I know you're not, but most girls are." They walked in silence for a while. "Hey, Kago?" "Yes, Miroku?" 'Can I ask you something?" "Sure." "do you like Inuyasha?" asked Miroku as they stopped outside Kagome's classroom door. "Of course not!!!" "Ok. Do you like me?"
