"It's not my fault he left!" Jade screamed at her mother. "He wanted to leave, he hates us!" Her mother walked out of her room and downstairs into the kitchen where Jade was sitting on the counter, arms folded across her chest. "You made him leave, you pushed him away, you've always hated him, even before I married him," her mother said in a low tone that made Jade tremble. "He left because he was fed up with you." Jade just glared back at her, silent. "Fine, don't say anything, but I'm going to find him." Jade's eyes widened, was she seriously thinking of leaving? "You wouldn't leave, you have no idea where he is," Jade said in a satisfied tone. "Oh, I'll find him all right, I know where he'd go." Staying silent she gave her mother the same glare she had given before. Smiling weakly, her mother went upstairs to finish packing. She wouldn't leave, I know she wouldn't. She's a liar; she has no idea where he is. Walking upstairs slowly Jade put her ear to her mother's bedroom door. Opening the door a crack she looked in. Her mother grabbed her clothes from the closet and threw them in her suitcase, tears streaming down her face. Jade said in a rough tone, "I'm going to bed," went to her room, and closed the door. She put her cheek on the soft pillow and let out a deep breath. Just about as she was going to fall asleep, the phone rang. Picking it up, she croaked into the phone, "What?" The person on the other line was breathless and she couldn't understand what he was saying. "Whoa, wait, hey, SHUT UP!" "Oh, sorry, I'm just really excited, uh it's Josh, from school, you know we used to be friends when we were little..." Rolling her eyes she paused for a little bit, remembering their history. Josh and Jade had been good friends, but as they had grown up Josh had become popular and eventually ditched her for "New People." Hearing the loud tapping on the other line she answered,"Yeah, what do you want?" Stuttering, trying to figure out a good way to say whatever he was going to say, Josh finally answered, "Well I found something, and I want you to see it, it's really important, really, just meet me at that big tree at the end of Waltimere Forest. Before Jade could object Josh had hung up. Well, I've got nothing better to do, I might as well go. Putting on her favorite black, baggy pants and a blank tank top, she grabbed her hoodie and ran out the door. I wonder what the hell Josh wants to show me?
