I THOUGHT I KNEW WHAT TO DO
I thought I knew what I was doing
When I met you at the party.
I acted older,
I talked older,
And even dressed older just to impress you
Then I saw him
The guy who cared about me more than ever
I didn't want him to see me
B/c I lied to him
So I asked you to go somewhere quiet
You said ok
We went upstairs
I turned the light on
But u turned it off
I should have just gone back down by then.
You told me I was beautiful
You told me I was cute
I believed you
Then we kissed, it was so amazing
Then u laid down on top of me
I said to get off me but u didn't
Then the worse came
I said no but still you kept going
You raped me now you must live with that
I was so scared so much after that
I got mad at my friends
I had nightmares
I couldn't sleep
That's how bad you scared me
We had a band competition
I wanted Ashley back in PMS
She had an awesome voice
I asked her to write a song about real life
Being dumped,
School,
Anything.
She wrote one about rape.
I didn't want to sing it
I got so upset
I ran out of the music room
And Ashley followed
She said she knew more about rape than I did
I started to cry
I told her about Dean
I told her what happened
We didn't do the song
Then came time for our performance
I went on stage and say him....
Dean.
I couldn't do it
But then I remember the words to Ashley's song
And started singing it
Everyone followed my lead
As we were playing Dean left
I went to counciling
6 months later I felt great about me
I stopped blaming myself
It was all Dean's fault...not mine
Then our team faced Bardell
Dean's school
He was coming back after I felt better
I felt scared
When the bus came I started to walk away
He came after me calling "Spirit"
Like some pet
TJ came and found me outside
And I told him what happened
He fought Dean for me
Someone actually cared about me
Then Spinner came after Dean when he got suspended from the game
I told him that I was coming after him
I wanted to scare him so bad
Just like he scared me
