Disclaimer: Me no own, you no sue, just read and review, and review, and
review, and review. . .well, you get the gist of it. Here is my first (or
second) lame attempt on romance. I really suck at it but I'm *trying* to
learn. ~,~

Damn right it was cold tonight. I'm still stuck here without a damn clue on where the narrator was. And I only had my black flimsy and not to mention short dress, turned flimsier and shorter due to my. . .—sudden growth spurt.
Body heat was best. And don't go imagining seven midgets clamped to my limbs. *shiver* That was just absolutely gross. That left the de-shirted cat.
"Kitty."
The cat managed to turn its head lazily from its corner of the room. "Meow?"
"Come here."
The cat, if capable of expressing any emotion except its laziness, seemed hesitant.
My left brow twitched. "COME. HERE."
The cat immediately scurried to me in a speed that shamed an Olympic runner's record.
I picked the cat up and buried it in my chest, and for the second time, I could've sworn for that it turned red.
~o~O~o~
A few moments passed, when this sudden flow of mixed emotions surged through me. I let out the breath that I hadn't realized I'd been holding. . .that was when the answer on why I was feeling this way hit me.
"I miss him already. . ."
The cat didn't utter a sound. I didn't know why, but pouring my heart out to the cat got me relieved. . .somehow, that's why I continued.
"Even after all those hell-like trainings I give him, how it infuriates me when he's slacking off. . ."
". . .he's still smiling."
A hot tear unintentionally ran down my cheek and I had to brush it away angrily.
"And now I'm crying for him."
My itako training had gone to waste just because of that idiot.
"Stupid Yoh."
A stray breeze passed over the two, making Anna shiver and snuggle more closely to the source of heat. Silence flooded right back in before I continued pouring my heart out to the animal.
"Even if I say his grin is stupid. . .even if I show that I don't care whenever he uses a chunk of effort to please me,"
"Those are the things that keep me going on."
The cat remained motionless.
"And even if they say the ice queen isn't capable of caring. . ."
"I care."
A mere whisper was heard before Anna drifted off into a deep sleep. "I love Yoh."
The cat stiffened.
~o~O~o~
Ten minutes to midnight. After the cat had made sure that Anna was fast asleep, it gently pried itself from the itako's arms and swept one last look at its beloved owner before trotting away towards a clearing in the woods.
