One Last Dream

Disclaimer: I did not create or own Inuyasha. If I did I would not be writing this right now. I would probably be speaking Japanese and creating new storylines and all that fun stuff writers and creators get to do. Yes, go writers! We rock. Ok enough of that, onward to victory! I mean onward to the story! Don't laugh it's not nice. –Amanda

Chapter One:

Kagome sat on the cold grass. She waited patiently for Inuyasha to arrive. This will be the day she confesses her true feelings. The day when all her emotions will be released.

"Hello Kagome. You wanted to see me?"

Inuyasha stood next to her. His white hair laid perfect on his shoulders though the blood and scars on his body showed no perfection.

"Oh my gosh. Inuyasha what happened?"

Kagome cried out in concern. She quickly got up and reached out her hands. Inuyasha stepped back; Kagome's hands only touched air.
"Do not touch me!"

Inuyasha yelled with such rage that Kagome turned her head. She did not wish to see him in such a state. Not on the day she was going to tell him about her love.

"Tell me Inuyasha. Do you wish for me to never touch you? Do you wish for me to not care?"

Kagome held back the tears as she said this. Her voice shook with hurt and wanting. Wanting him to let her care. Hurting her because she knew he didn't want her to. Inuyasha sighed and tried to make sense of his thoughts.

"Kagome, I don't want you to care for me. I can handle things for myself. I don't wish..."

Inuyasha could not finish his sentence. He knew what he wanted to say but attitude got in the way. Kikyo got in the way. I cannot love Kagome without thinking of Kikyo. I cannot love Kikyo without thinking of Kagome. Such thoughts haunting him everyday of his pitiful existence.

"You don't wish what Inuyasha?"

Kagome asked though she knew the answer. He did not wish for her to care or to love. He did not wish for her to have fallen for him. Inuyasha stood there in silence. No more did he feel the pain of the scars or blood and dirt mixed together. All he felt were emotions.

"Leave Inuyasha. Leave to your beloved Kikyo. Leave and never come back. Stay in your own excuse for a life."

Kagome seemed so out of character that Inuyasha now had no words to say. He was speechless. He watched helplessly as Kagome walked away.
