The call of a lonely soul-

I dont own Wolfs Rain Sadly...

The wind blew softly and the small, tiny group bask in the moon light. "I tell ya I do feel kinda stronger!" Hige laughed scratching the back of his head.

"I swear you're an idiot!" Tsume said with a sigh.

"Tsume dont be so mean." Toboe smiled at the look he recieved.

"While were all here I think we should learn some things about eachother." toboe looked around for answers.

"Theres no way im telling my past!" tsume growled standing and walking out into the snowy back round away from the others.

"Tsume wait!" toboe followed him.

"I dont know how but somehow that guy always gets angry." Hige laughed as his stomach growled.

Kiba slowly sat up and looked around. How he had put together such a clan amazed him. Hadnt he already sworn that after his accident in paradise, that he would never do this again? never degrade himself? "Hige?"

Hige looked at Kiba at the sound of his name. "Yeah?" He replied.

"Where do you come from? Whats your past like?" Hige sighed and layed back.

Looking at the bright moon above he began. "All I remember is waking up in the city. I was still just a pup and everything was so new to me. I taught myself how to hunt. I taught myself the game. I had at first eaten hot dogs and cheese burgers until i had the taste of real meat. I never wanted to go back to the weak stuff after that. Im basically a city wolf Kiba. I cant remember my past or really what my mom and dad were like. you?" He looked over to Kiba who had his back turned and was facing the moon.

There were a few moments of pausing until he spoke. "I grew up in paradise. The luner flowers were all around, and the fields of them stretched for miles to come. I was with my clan. Mom, dad, and Samui. Samui was my sister. She was born on the night of the full moon. She was silver only her ears, tail, and paws were tipped black. One of her eyes was blue and the other green. She had a limp from fighting another wolf. She was stronger than me before her accident but after ... she grew weak. She had the most wonderful scent, its almost like I can smell her now. You know in the winter when the wind blows? She smells like that. Exactly like that. One morning we were playing. Like pups do. I was running and I jumped over a large river, in the large fields where we roamed. I taunted her. She tried to jump and.....and....and she fell into the river. I couldnt move. She called for me to save her. "Kiba! Kiba!" She called. But I couldnt move, I couldnt speak, I couldnt save her. I watched her head fall under the black waters for the last time, and she never came up again. She died. "

"Kiba it wasnt your fault! Dont blame yourself!" Hige stood angrily.

"You dont understand Hige. After that everyone died. Slowly, yes, slowly. After Samui died, I suppose she was the one to keep the entire clan together. Together in happiness, but I killed her. On full moons....Its almost like I can hear her howls." With that he stood and walked away.

Hige watched as Kiba walked slowly away in the cold, bitter, winter night. The moon was full and like he said. He must be hearing her cry. Hige looked to the sky. Kiba must be dying inside. Dying from the loneliness.

He then heard crys from somewhere. It wasnt Toboe. It was a women, and the crys were filled with sorrow.
