Chapter 3 Classes
The next day Harry woke to Ron, Shamus, Dean, and Neville Talking.
"Who do you think it is?" Neville asked.
"Don't know," Dean said, perplexed.
"Should we wake them up?" Ron asked
"No, they could attack us," Shamus said
"What?" James said groggily, "Who are you?"
"Sorry Harry," Dean said, "We didn't mean to wake you up."
"I'm not Harry," James said, "I'm James."
"Holy crap," said Ron.
"What?" The other boys in the dormitory said.
"James P-P-?" Ron choked.
"We need to get to breakfast," Harry said. "And I am sure Dumbledore will explain everything in the Great Hall."
Harry, James, and the freshly awakened Sirius walked down stairs to meet Lily.
"Good morning, Lily dearest," James said when Lily came down from the girls dormitory.
"Whatever." Lily said and climbed out of the portrait hole.
They all scrambled out after her.
When in the Great Hall, they received a few confused looks from some of their classmates but other that that, nobody really noticed.
When most of the students were in the Great Hall, Professor Dumbledore stood up and said:
"Good morning students, as you may or may not have noticed we have some visitors at the Gryffindor table.
There was a rustling around the hall and students turned to look at the Gryffindor table.
"Students," Professor Dumbledore said, "I would like you to meet James Potter, Lily Evens, and Sirius Black."
Whispers of "Is he kidding?" and "How did that happen?" were heard around the hall. But the thing that caught most everybody's attention was two outbursts from the staff table, one from Professor Snape and another from Professor Lupin.
"What?" Professor Snape screamed across the hall. "Albus, are you kidding me? Those heathens at Hogwarts again?"
"Oh my goodness," Professor Lupin said. He stood up so fast that he knocked his chair over in his haste to get to his friends.
"Will everybody please sit down for a moment?" Dumbledore said.
Snape and Remus sat down and listened to hear what Dumbledore was going to say. But, Remus, forgetting that his chair had fallen over, sat down and fell to the ground. This was received by gales of laughter by James and Sirius.
"Well then," Dumbledore said, "The experiment that they did will keep them here until this time next year."
A stunned silence fell over the Great Hall.
"Now," he said, "Finish breakfast and go to classes. Oh, and Professor Lupin, go see your friends."
After catching up with Remus, Harry, James, Sirius, Lily, Ron, and Hermione walked to the dungeons for Potions with Snape, or Snivilus Harry and Ron were instructed to call him.
"Good morning cla-"Professor Snape started to say before he found himself hanging in midair.
"I don't like your tone of voice, Snivilus," James said. "Say 'Good morning' nicely."
"Put me down now," Snape gasped, "I am your teacher, therefore you have to listen to me."
"I don't care," James said. "I am actually older than you are and I didn't care when you became a prefect."
"Fifty points from Gryffindor and detention, Potter," Snape said.
"Oh," Sirius said, "That's brave. An entire-how long-with James?"
"Detention for you too, Black."
"Ooooh, such fun."
"Get started on your potions, now!"
The rest of the class passed pretty much uneventfully due to Lily scolding James and Sirius about being such pricks and needing to grow up.
Their next class was for Ron and Harry and, as it turned out James and Sirius, was Divination; and for Hermione and Lily was Arithmancy.
"Is that old bat Sanchez still teaching?" James asked.
"No," Harry said. "Even worse, probably. Trelawney. I swear, she predicts my death at least once a week."
"It must," Sirius said, as they reached the ladder that went up to the tower, "Run in the family, Sanchez predicts James' death all the time too."
"Wait a second," James said suddenly, "Did you say Trelawney?"
"Yeah," Harry said.
"Sybil Trelawney?"
"How did you know?" Harry asked.
"That crazy girl practically stalks me." James said.
"What fun," Sirius said as they went and sat down by the window.
Students started coming in and sitting down. Lavender Brown and Pavarti Patel kept turning around, looking at James and Sirius and giggling. They almost looked like they were going to faint when James and Sirius winked at them.
"I don't get it," Harry said, "They never liked me. They never showed any interest in me."
"You have to have the name that goes with the face," James said as he winked at them again, they turned around swooning.
"Hello," Harry said, "I am Harry Potter, the boy who lived, star and captain of the best quidditch team in Hogwarts."
"Yes," James said, "And I am James Potter, troublemaker extraordinaire."
"Wait," Sirius said, suddenly, "You have a beautiful girlfriend, why are you complaining?"
"I am just trying to understand this." Harry said.
"Good morning class," Professor Trelawney said airily. She started taking role, getting obviously more and more annoyed at the fact that people were talking at the same time she was.
"Will you please," she said angrily, "Stop talking no- Oh my goodness."
"Here it comes," Harry whispered to James.
"James," she squealed, "I saw it in the stars, I knew someday we would meet again."
Laughs started through out the class room.
"Um, Professor," Lavender said hotly, "Shouldn't we start class?"
"Yes, yes," Professor Trelawney said resuming her normal airy voice.
This class was a bit more interesting than Potions was. Every time she could, Professor Trelawney would make a move to come over to James, but Lavender or Pavarti would call her over to talk to them.
As soon as class was over, James, Sirius, Harry and Ron bolted for the door, ignoring the screams for James to come back and talk to her from Professor Trelawney.
They all ate lunch quickly so as not to attract too much attention thus not getting too many questions.
Their next classes were Care of Magical Creatures and Herbology.
First was Care of Magical Creatures with Hagrid on the grounds.
Today they were learning about- for some reason, as they already learned about them-hippogriffs.
"As we have already studied these, would anybody like to ride them?" Hagrid asked. When nobody answered, he called on Sirius.
"Why don't you give it a spin?"
"Okay."
When Sirius was in the air, a very angry McGonagall came out onto the grounds.
"I would like all four of you, Mr. Black too," She said to Harry, Ron, and James, "TO be in Professor Dumbledore's office immediately after your last class. Got it?"
"Yes ma'am," they all said.
They were so worried about what Professor McGonagall was so angry about that they didn't hear anything in Herbology.
As soon as the class ended, they made their way up to Dumbledore's office.
A/N Hey ya'lls. Sorry it's been a week since I've updated, but I have band to practice for, and state compition is Thursday so, don't expect anything until then, this oboe (the-hands down-best instrument in the world) player has got to go.
