Farewell to Happiness

As this darkness closes in around me
I block out the sight of the Powers that be
I close my eyes to reality
I don't know anything anymore
Feeling all alone
You come to me
Offer a hand
Help me off the floor of despair
And then you see
The wounds that bleed through

I wait for you to turn away
Turn your back
But you don't
You show me the light
Wash away the fear
But still, i fell alone
Rest my head on your shoulder
And let it all out
Let the tears fall
Until none are left

And you wait until
I have none left
But i have nothing left to feel
Nothing inside of me
But you tell me again anyway
You tell me, that's why we're friends
Because, through it all
You stick by me, and i stick by you
