CHAPTER 27 – The Final Blow

Sen smirked and went into a fighting stance. "Alright ladies, are you ready to rumble?!" Frieza's eyes went wide and he filled with rage. His fisted hand slowly raised and the indexed finger began to uncurl. Sen recognized the fatal attack method and turned to face the tyrant head on. Then she felt the others approach and glanced over her shoulder. She whipped around and raised her hands to ward off the punches coming from Racoome and Burter. They circled around Sen, hitting and kicking wherever they could.

Rolling his eyes, Frieza withdrew his hand and crossed his arms. He could wait his turn. Besides, Sen had disappeared within the torrent of blows and the monster didn't want to hit his men. Then Frieza frowned. Apparently, the morons made that very mistake. Suddenly, they had stopped, each poised with a right cross to the face from the other.

"Watch what you are doing Racoome! That hurt!"

"Geez, Burter, the runt's not much of a target." Sen had caught Racoome's attention. "Huh?"

Between them, Sen had extended her arms out from her sides with palms out. Before the giants could react, her aura flared and she shot ki blasts at their chests. The force rocketed them away in opposite directions. Streams of energy continued to discharge from her palms, pushing them beyond site. When she ended the attack, two loud explosions were heard. The ground shook and two mushroom clouds appeared in the distance.

That caught Vegeta's attention and he looked over to review her handiwork. He smirked and breathed, "Not bad, onna," then went back to examining a small cut near his elbow.

Frieza looked less than impressed. He was resting his chin on his chest with his eyes closed. The tyrant glanced at Sen and a slight grin appeared on his face. He shut his eyes again, "Am I next, monkey?"

Still in her attack stance, Sen took in huge breaths of air. Upon hearing Frieza, she dropped her arms to her sides and faced the monster. "Ready, when you are."

Dropping his arms, Frieza straightened and faced Sen. "Dear, that last attack took quite a lot out of you. Are you sure you're up for the challenge."

"I won't know (swallowed) until I try."

Frieza chuckled, "I promise to make it interesting." He lifted his finger and aimed it at Sen.

Confident she could deflect whatever he threw at her; Sen went into a fighting stance and waited for the attack. The warrior couldn't see it but she felt it coming. Her arms went into a cross block. Then she froze. Frieza's force had a hold of Sen. He pointed his finger up and Sen went flying skyward. Next, he opened his hand and clamped down. Sen gasped as she felt an amazing pressure surround her body. She was being squashed like a tomato. The warrior closed her eyes and concentrated on shielding her body with ki.

Frustrated, Frieza swung his arm behind him and threw an electrified fire ball at Sen. Then with his other hand he threw another, and another, bombarding the half Saiyan. Explosion after explosion, the projectiles hit their mark. Satisfied, Frieza stopped and watched the gigantic black cloud of smoke dissipate. Vegeta was watching also. His arms were crossed and his face was void of expression.

When the smoke cleared, Frieza smiled at the results. Sen was hunched over; her arms and legs dangled lifelessly. Her clothes were tattered and smoldering in places. Parts of her armor were scorched. They could not see her face as her hair draped over it. Gravity took hold of Sen's body and she began to fall.

Laughing, Frieza raced upwards to get a closer look. He spoke as he followed her down along side. "That was foolish of you Sen. You should have fought me when you were at your strongest. Instead you wasted it on my goons. They are nothing without me." He got no response. His eyes narrowed and then relaxed when he got glimpses of her paled lifeless face.

Frieza went ahead of Sen and landed on the ground. Then he reached up with one hand and caught her body over his head. He wanted to serve this waste of a being to the insolent, monkey Prince. Struggling to contain his small victory, he couldn't help but smirk. He walked towards Vegeta with Sen held effortlessly above his head.

"Sen got her fill on the appetizer and didn't wait for the main course." Shrugging his shoulders, Frieza was about to throw her body down at Vegeta's feet when he noticed that Vegeta was distracted with something above him. Then he noticed that his load suddenly became lighter.

Confused, Frieza looked up to see Sen floating above him. Both her open hands were extended; touching wrist to wrist. Her green eyes looked at him devilishly. "Actually, I saved the best for last." Instantly the ki she had left surged forward from her palms, hitting Frieza square in his upturned face. The force was so great, it engulfed the monster and pinned him to the ground. "OUT OF THE WAY!" she yelled at Vegeta.

The surprised Prince jumped to the air and flew to hover above Sen. Her hair flailed wildly and her aura glowed yellow then flared out. "AaaaaahhhHH HHHAAAA!" The energy ball was suddenly charged with an incredible amount of power. It expanded and the ground underneath broke away. A huge fissure opened up and Frieza was forced down into the lowest depths of HFIL. Sen gave it everything, everything she had within her ---and then some. She would put an end to this game, once and for all. Debris shot out in all directions as the beam continued to burrow deeper and deeper. The beam ended when Sen had nothing left to give. Her body went limp and it began to follow the tail end of her ki beam.

Suddenly, Sen jerked to a stop. Vegeta had grabbed hold of her chest plate and was hauling her back to the surface. The sudden stop awakened her senses and once again acknowledged the agonizing pain of her body. Nausea overcame the warrior and she did what she could to hold it down. Then they heard a faint moan echoed from the depths below.

They were above the gaping hole when Vegeta spoke, "He's not gone, but I believe he is done for the day. What of you half Saiyan? Are you finished?"

Sen couldn't answer. Her body convulsed and she threw up. The bile disappeared into the fissure. Moments later, another moan filtered up from below when the vomit hit bottom.

The Prince's head jerked back and he roared with laughter. "Hahaha, with a finishing move like that, onna, no one will want to mess with you—including me!" Vegeta headed for solid ground and when Sen's feet touched the ground, he let go then landed in front of her. With a thud, Sen collapsed face down. He turned around, "Ha ha, well done, onna."

Barely able to move, Sen rolled onto her back and blinked at the yellow clouds above. If she closed her eyes, she would lose consciousness and that would lead to dreams. Dreams that she was not prepared to face right now. Vegeta stood over her with his hands at his hips. Even through his usual scorn she could tell he was smiling. Then it occurred to her that her perception of him was changing. Maybe he wasn't the same self-serving, unfeeling, egoistical, arrogant jerk she believed him to be. The people of Earth saw something in him. Goku never gave up on him.

"Your has returned. Try to stand."

"Give me a minute."

"We don't have a minute."

"Humph." Sen thought, 'Now he's in a hurry?'

"We have far to travel and do not suggest I carry you."

Sen let out a weak moan from the pain then lifted a hand with two fingers pointed at her forehead.

"Instant transmission." Crossing his arms, Vegeta grunted, looked to his right and replied sarcastically, "The only way to travel. But it won't get us out of HFIL." Then his eyes narrowed. He dropped his arms, making fists and stepped over Sen. The Prince stiffened his stance.

Sen felt someone coming towards them. Faintly, she heard a squeaking sound that accompanied the foot steps. She didn't need to identify the ki signature, she knew who it was. Forcing herself up on her elbows, she glared at Vegeta then tried to look around him. "Don't start with this one. We've got to go."

Vegeta turned his head slightly. "Quiet, onna! Or would you like to take care of Cell?"

"You think?! Augh." Hurting too much, Sen had dropped flat again. Of course, she was in no shape to do much of anything. Now she could see the spotted freak coming. "Huh? I thought you ripped the freak's hand off?!"

"He is able to regenerate --- a Namek trait."

"Namek, He's not Namekian."

"It's complicated, a matter of which is not your concern. Now I suggest that you shut-up and get-up."

Cell called to them as he approached, "Mind if I join your little party?"

For intimidation purposes, Vegeta turned up the ki. His hair instantly went golden yellow and his eyes green. "You would be wise to go back into the hole you crawled out of."

Cell stopped and crossed his arms. "I'm not going anywhere and neither are you."

That was Sen's cue. It was not good for her to look so helpless. She forced herself into a sitting position.

Cell looked over to Sen, "Ahh, feeling better, Sen? What you just did was quite a feat for someone of your caliber. Anything I can do to make you more comfortable?"

Sen forced a smile. "I'll manage."

Cell dropped his arms and began to walk towards Sen. "No, I insist. We have a long wait ahead of us and I happen to know of a delightful place full of hot springs. The water is a bit murky but it will do wonders for those aches and pains."

Vegeta stepped in Cell's path. "Get out of my sight android or would you prefer I rip off your head this time."

"If you are still planning on fighting Buu, you are making a grave mistake, my Prince. The ultimate realm to conquer is here. Your paradise is within your grasp. You only need to wait until Majin Buu clears all of our obstacles."

"Feh." Taking a step backwards, Vegeta reached down and grabbed Sen by the arm. He roughly pulled her to her feet and waited for her to steady herself. The Prince eyed her strangely. It felt as though Sen was absorbing ki through his grasp on her. He leaned slightly to get a glimpse of her face through the untamed hair that covered it. She was smiling at him. And he smirked back, "It's addictive, isn't it?" then abruptly let go.

Sen took a half step backwards to catch her balance and then glared at the Prince. "So what should I call you now, Supreme Vegeta-Kia?"

"Damate, omae baka!" (Shut up, you fool!)

Cell was pleased that Sen conceded to his vision. "Well, that has a nice ring to it, doesn't it? Supreme Vegeta-Kia!"

The Prince sneered, "Hahaha, yes that's right. I will be thee utmost echelon of all creation. Ha ha. Imagine it. Spending eternity languishing in bliss, only to waste my superior strength and skills on the likes of you! Why, I'd sooner be trapped in the void of time with that idiot clown, Kakarot then waste another millisecond with you." Vegeta clasped Sen's hand, "Ike ze onna!" (Let's go woman!)

Sen hesitated before raising her fingers to her forehead. She had to pinpoint a destination. It cost her dearly for Cell hit her midsection with a ki blast. Ripped from Vegeta's grasp, she was knocked meters away. Her feet hit the ground causing her to tumble backwards, finally skidding on her back to a full stop. The attack didn't help her already battered body. She laid there wishing this would all just go away. Sen was tired and she hurt. She began to believe it was a mistake to come here. 'I should have left this to Yama and the Gods. Vegeta was right. I am a fool.' Looking up at the barrier between Heaven and HFIL, she cursed, "Damn it all to HFIL!"

Sen heard a loud thud and felt the ground tremble. It had to be Vegeta resolving differences-- Saiyan . Gritting her teeth, Sen tried to sit up but fell back down when she felt a stabbing pain in her side. The warrior struggled to remain conscious. Then Sen felt someone slide their hands in the pit of her arms to help her up. "Aye, hang on--" Startled, Sen looked up to see who was kneeling over her but her sight was blurred. "There, there, take it easy, I'll have you up in a jiff."
