A/n: This is just a little something I thought of in the... well you don't really need to know where I was, do you? Anyway, hope you enjoy it.
"Mom, I've been carrying this secret around for over a year now, and I can't do it anymore. I have to tell you."
"Chris, what is it?" asked Piper, worry in her eyes.
"The event, it's..." Chris stopped.
"It's what, honey? You can tell me."
"It's...your death." Chris said, almost in a whisper.
"My, my death? When, how?"
"If you really want to know...Here, sit down, I'll tell you. It was my fourteenth birthday. You wouldn't let me go out with my friends alone, so, you came with. It all happened so fast." Chris paused, and Piper waited patiently. "A demon, Drell, shimmered in. You reacted fast, you froze the room. You tried to freeze him...but you couldn't. You tried blowing him up, but...you only nicked him. I wanted to orb you out, but you said no. You said that you would take care of him. He threw an energy ball...and I swerved it out of the way. He threw a second one, this time you froze it. And then, he threw one final one."
Piper held her breath. She thought this was the part where she would die, but she was mistaken.
Chris continued, "I swerved that one out of the way too. We thought he was gone for good...but he shimmered in behind you. He held a knife to your throat and sliced it. I don't know why or how, but I remembered you telling me the story of how you vanquished the Source. I remembered the spell you used, so I started chanting it, Prudence, Penelope, Patricia, Melinda, Astrid, Helena, Laura, and Grace, Halliwell witches stand strong beside me! Vanquish this evil from time and space! He exploded, and I turned my attention back to you. I orbed you to the manor and called for Leo. He didn't come, so I called Wyatt. We joined hands and put out free ones over your wound...but you didn't come back." Tears were streaming down Chris's face as he remembered the most terrible thing that had ever happened in his life.
Piper saw her son's tears and started to cry herself. Not because she was going to die, but because her son had to witness it.
Chris wiped some of the tears from his face and continued, "Leo, must've sensed something wrong, because that's when he orbed down. He looked at us and then at you. He knelt down and tried to heal you...when that didn't work he grabbed Wyatt's hand, and together, we again, tried to heal you. You didn't come back." Chris, again, paused to wipe some tears from his eyes. "We buried you next to Prue. Leo said that's what you would've wanted. Dad comforted Wyatt, and Grandpa comforted me, that's how we got so close."
Piper stood from her seat at the kitchen table and walked over to her youngest son. She pulled him into a hug and they cried together.
Leo, who was standing in the doorway, unnoticed, said to himself, "No, I will not be that kind of father, and I will not let Piper die." He orbed out without a word to Piper or Chris.
Ok, the beginning is a little cheesy, but what'd ya think?
Please review, but be nice.
