LIGHTSPEED SEASON 2.2

I'm BAAAACK! Here's evil! Okay thanks for the reviews but in all my fics they've been scarce...My muse needs them. If you like a fic review me and I'll continue and listen to suggestions. Flame me and I'll continue just to spite you. I went with Option 2 because Sera was too much of a controlled character from a bitchy friend. Pardon my Swedish.

Trubble Bubble: Thanks, I will, see?

Naturally Blondie: We'll talk when this posted, long time no e-mail

Lady Lightspeed: Are you an insomniac too? Whatever your fics inspired me to write this one DO NOT STOP WRITING LIGHTSPEED FICS OR I WILL HUNT YOU DOWN! Thank you

Pyrorescue1: Kelsey...Chad...Hmmm...Another suggestion was Kelsey/Ryan but that's one vote for yours. Thanks for the review

None: Well everyone wants that coupling but what have you done to earn them hmm? In my day...wait I haven't even gotten my drivers license yet what am I talking about. Danke schon.

Ms Birdman: I AM SO SORRY but two votes in favour of the second option...One of them is a friend who got me back to fic writing after my fics were essentially rejected from the Glitch Girl's Freedom Fortress site...she's swinging weight even if we have two oceans between us...or maybe three. But please stick around you slapped my muse around with a review to get me back writing thanks.

Samantha: Really? I was thinking of Dana and Carter as a couple...where do you stand on that idea dear? I may dedicate a monster to you...no offense meant...just keep your eyes open. I'm making a few tributes to my reviewers in this fic so keep your eyes open for your one...it may or may not be a monster.

Bsktballchik: Thank a great deal! Be seeing your reviews some more I hope.

The Trouble With Evil (2)

The fireman carried Carter out. Dana's heart stopped, but then she felt it pounding psychotically in her chest like she was home to the percussion segment of the orchestra. She sprinted over to reach him.

"Carter?"

"He's stopped breathing" a medic stated.

"Thanks for the update" a frantic Dana shrilled. She pressed her lips to Carters and blew into his mouth. "Get a damn respirator!" she snapped at the medic. "Breathe! Carter! Breathe!" Dana gasped pressing her lips to his and working to frantically administer the best CPR she could.

She grabbed the oxygen mask as the medic brought it over and slid it onto his face. "I'm going to look after the others," she said calmly to the medic. "Anything happens to him while I'm gone I'll beat you to death myself"

The fire was out soon and no fatalities were reported. All students were accounted for except for three. Dana watched Carter fight off the terrified medic and leave the back of the ambulance. "I'm fine," he said to her. "It wasn't smoke inhalation it was the heat, I just got dizzy from it...it wasn't normal fire"

"Its true" Sera said quietly over the communications link. "According to my demon encyclopaedia it was mildly poisonous but there won't be any lasting effects to anyone."

Dana breathed a sigh of relief. "Okay...we have to get back to Mariner Bay and stop those demon brats".

"And get our morphers back" Kelsey added.

"Yeah, definitely get our morphers back" smirked Joel rubbing his fists.

The warehouse was vast, a scroll landed on the crates against a wall and in a flash they were no more. "And to think I used to worry 'bout cleanin' my room" Dorian snorted in his South African accent.

"That's one way. Is Cami searching for our "friends"?"

"She's already on the case" Dorian shrugged. "Diu tell me, when diu we diu the spell?"

"Right now" Nick said. He pointed at the warehouse floor. "I'll just painstakingly inscribe spells in ancient languages and symbols of arcane power all over the floor space, dragging my body on torn hands and knees..." he gave a smirk. "Or not". He pointed his staff and a green wave ran across the ground marking it.

"Ah, that's better" he grinned.

"I can't wait to have a shot at the rangers" Dorian said.

"Yeah, well they're already back," explained Nick. "They arrived ten minutes ago on that infernal supersonic jet".

"I should have shot it down" Dorian sighed. "Now, what next?"

"Just send Alvader out to have some fun with the city on his own. They'll try and get the morphers back. It's a nice way to buy ourselves some time."

"He's incompetent" Dorian grunted. "But fine, since you don't feel like summoning another one..." Dorian vanished into his blue smoke that became a silver-white spark in the air, ancient symbols around it and then it winked out.

"Let's see what else is on my to do list?" Nick muttered, tapping the air. In a ripple of black light a note pad and pencil appeared. "Okay, turn bullies to stone, burn down school, evil banter with rangers, destroy Mariner bay, raise The Umbra Palace, plunge the world into darkness...oh pass Geography! That's what I forgot."

He shrugged. "I'll fillet my teacher"

******

Sera tapped the keys of her computer. "O-Okay Alvader is p-probably going to keep the morphers s-so if we can terminate him we stand a chance." She adjusted her glasses quickly. "All we – that is to say you- need are- is- to zap the box free."

She was shifting uneasily under the attention of the others. Thankfully Carter and Ms Fairweather appeared. "Carter's clear, no damage and no signs of poisoning."

"Thank heavens," breathed Dana. She coughed awkwardly. "I mean no one would want to lose such a-a good friend and –emm– leader."

Carter gave a smile. Abruptly the sirens went off. "The demon" Ms Fairweather said. "We need a plan of action before we tackle him."

Dana slipped out as suggestions began. She walked to the medical lab and entered. Her father lay in the bed, it was the first time she'd been able to get to see him. "Oh Daddy" she said with a shuddering sob. "Why did this have to happen? Why couldn't everything have just...why couldn't we have had peace?"

She paused as she heard Kelsey enter. "Hi Kels" she said.

"He'll be fine" Kelsey said. "Your dad is a fighter."

"We have to get our morphers back, for dad, for the city...we have to destroy those demons!"

"They're humans" Sera said quietly. "I went to school with them before I dropped out. I came here and never thought...I didn't think that this would happen. Camilla was rather vindictive, Dorian had a violent streak and Nick was a little unhinged..."

She stood in the doorway. Her head vanishing into her heavy sweaters turtle neck she spoke again. "Alvader is on the Shopping Promenade," she said. She held out the blasters. "I'm supposed to give you these and tell you to come to the briefing room as we work out how to tackle him."

"I have a plan," Dana said taking the blaster. "One I think I should do."

*******

The promenade was sparking as another swirling beam of light hit a shop and blew it open. A shopkeeper went down blood streaming from her arm. Alvader strode forwards. "So! Humans are as fragile as they used to be!"

The two blasts hit his body and sent a rain of sparks up. The Rescue Rover shrieked to a halt and Kelsey leapt from the drivers seat. Dana pulled her blaster up and fired again. Alvader blinked out of existence and materialized to the side of the blasts.

"You have something of ours" Dana snapped.

She fired again and hit. Alvader laughed. "Rangers! Hah! I'm not scared of you! Without your morphers you can't take me!"

He fired a blast at them and the damaged Rescue Rover. They dived apart and were flung away by the explosion. Dana rolled and landed in a crouch, firing. Alvader staggered back.

"Huh? You're the pink ranger!"

"And I'm the yellow" Kelsey said she fired. Alvader blasted at Dana...the Rover sped straight into him knocking him into a wall Sera was at the wheel. "I hid in the back," she said as if answering the unspoken question Kelsey posed.

Dana rose and looked to Kelsey. "We have to get the morphers out of him!"

"Easier said then done," Sera said as she joined them. "Alvader needs a serious jolt to release them!"

"I got it!" exclaimed Kelsey. "I'll distract him- - -"

Dana followed Kelsey's gaze and nodded. Sera looked around. "Guys" she mumbled. "LOOK OUT!"

The hurricane of energy shot towards them. Dana dodged as Kelsey and Sera ducked down behind a burning car. The paramedics were on their way, the fire brigade was coming but what good would they be if they were blasted by the demon.

"Sera, stay down" Kelsey snapped.

Sera gave a half-nod. "I'll try," she said.

Kelsey rose to fire...the blast hit the car and flung Kelsey, Sera and the destroyed car through the air down the street. Alvader approached them slowly. One of the blaster shots had opened the case jutting from his chest holding the prize.

The morphers were so close...Kelsey looked to Sera. She was unconscious but alive and that was good...Sera groaned and distracted the demon. He turned to fire...and Kelsey did. She blasted him at max power before he could even realize she was a threat. He shrieked in agony, Dana appeared to perform her part and it was all over.

Dana had shifted the pipes in a fountain and turned it on. The blast of water hit the demon. He shrieked in anguish as his body sparked with blue light. The morpher case burst from his body as he fell backwards and exploded. Dana shielded her face from flying chunks of mutant flesh. All that was left was a crater with a blank card of blackness, laced with blue as the light played on it and a small amount of red crystal fragments.

"Wow...that was easy," murmured Dana.

"Speak for yourself" Sera groaned and rose. "Oh my head".

"You shouldn't have been here," warned Kelsey. "It's dangerous!"

"I know...but I ran him over!" Sera said. "I just...I needed to make amends and to earn your trust... My powers are just...they're so non-human."

"Hey, you helped us by telling us about this..." Dana said.

"Well that was an explosion" Joel said. The others stood behind the girls. "We would" a been here sooner but the ROVER was STOLEN by SOMEONE"S who shall remain NAMELESS."

Dana coughed. "I got him," she said. "He paid for hurting my father"

There was a clear-headed moment. Then came the mist. A huge dark bank of fog cloaking the street. "Morphers!" Carter exclaimed as the Rangers picked up the missing pieces of the team. They put them on. "Sera get to safety" he instructed.

"Got it," she said. "I stink at H2H".

She scampered away down the street to stand behind the police barriers. A voice cooed from the depths of the smoky barrier. "Oh look, the Power Pain's...ugh that is such a cliché talk."

"How about Mangy Rangers?" Dorian suggested.

"We'll figure something out" Cami sighed. "What about showing them the pawns to our little game of chess?"

"Excellent Idea Conjura" smirked Dorian. "Mortighasts! Attack!"

The three cards looked like Tarot cards, but on the front was a bizarre picture and writing beneath it. All three glowed and the illustrations sprang to life. They were covered in neon green and black with bizarre green helmets on their faces forming a skull like head. They brandished warped clubs, swords and axes, there was a skull on each ones chest. They surged forwards at the rangers.

"Hey guys" Ryan said. "Time to dust off our knuckles"

"Well we haven't been idle for that long" Chad said. "But let's just make sure a few hours hasn't made us rusty."

TITANIUM POWER

LIGHTSPEED RESCUE

"This is more like it" Joel said as he looked at his costume. The Mortighast"s attacked en masse. Joel leapt at one and caught it in the ribs with a kick before flipping over it and dropping a kick on its back.

Sera watched as the Mortighasts were whittled down. She subconsciously punched the air, cheering silently...and then she had a vision.

The black light engulfed the buildings and turned them into macabre twisted forms of metal, brick and glass.

"Damn!" she groaned. "This is very, very, very, very bad".

Carter dispatched a Mortighast with a rapid blitz of punches. Dana slashed one with her V-Lancer and the pair stopped, back-to-back.

"What a lovely picture, its so...Avengers" a voice mocked. "Well my little pawns don't seem all that good...but I have a great many..."

The mist cleared backwards. "Honestly its so hard to find good help these days" sighed Nick as he walked forwards.

They had changed completely, no longer the teenage school children. Now they were something else entirely.

Camilla wore dark purple-black leather cat suit that had a zip down to her naval, tied with a black sash. Her suit was held closed by a zigzag of ribbons and the occasional belt from the half closed corset patterned with spider webs. Her sleeves were separated at the shoulder from the rest of the suit but still connected by slender ribbons; they were wide and flared with a spider web pattern on them. She wore armour plating on her upper chest a black plating on her shoulders. Her face was snowy white; her lips were black and purple, like the rest of her make up.

At her hip was a long whip and tucked into her laced up heeled boots were two demonically styled elbow blades. On the back of her left hand was a sort of gold glove with a large purple stone in it, her painted fingers stuck from under it. She held her staff in the other hand. A long black pole topped with a flat silver pentangle in a circle with a purple gem set in the very core. The beads and ribbons fluttered from it.

Dorian was wearing a dark blue jacket flowing in the wind. His chest was plated with dark blue metal and silver material. His trousers were blue and navy with silver strips up the outer leg covered in symbols. His boots were pale blue leather and had silver kneepads. The sleeveless jacket was blue and his bare arms were adorned with two steel gauntlets. His hair was styled into dark spikes and he wore a simple silver headband with a red stone in the middle of it.

He had a staff in his hand, a twisted black shape with four axe blades pointing in all directions at the top a blood red stone set in the centre of the blades. He had a short sword at his hip and a boomerang strapped to his right leg. The most frightening thing about him was that his skin was now pale blue.

The white-faced figure of Nick walked between them, holding his staff. His wand was topped with three jagged pincers pointing into the air. It had a dark green crystal set in the prongs and a red orb set in the black metal of the longest blade. Around it was set fanged skulls with emerald eyes. He had two swords at his hip and a medallion around his neck shaped like an evil eye.

He wore loose black trousers, a black shirt buttoned up one side to the Chinese style collar and a neck belt. His sleeves were wide and the shirt trailed into long jacket tails. His black boots, with silver bands at the back, had skull shaped kneepads. He had a twisted crown of tortured ghastly faces with emerald eyes and a red stone in the centre set on his forehead. The gauntlets of his garb were black and silver with skull patterns on them. His pale face was ghastly, eerie and cold.

"Well, we shouldn't disappoint our friends" he smirked. "If the Mortighasts weren't a challenge maybe we can offer better..."

He gripped his jacket and flourished it at the Rangers. It burst into a swarm of bats, each with only a single red eye. They fluttered, shrieking at the cities saviours. The rangers shouted in anger and surprise as the cloud of bats attacked.

"Extinguishers!" shouted Chad. The white cloud forced the bats to the ground with a loud splash. They turned into black ink that was sucked into the ground.

"Hey! I'm sending you my dry cleaning bill!" Nick sneered. He levelled the sceptre at the rangers and hit them with black and green lightening. Under his coat he wore a strange black padded shirt with silver up the sides and a dark red stone on the core. His sleeves were long and black with red symbols up them. He pointed the staff and fired a stream of lightening at them. The explosion from the earth the lightening streaked across sent them flying with cries of pain.

"Red and Pink are mine!" snarled Nick. "Let's roll!"

"Blue and Green for me!" laughed Dorian.

"I'll take the leftovers," sneered Cami.

Nick moved in a blur to clothesline Dana and Carter straight into the plaza. Cami flourished her wrists and snared Ryan and Kelsey in purple webs. Swinging them around she flung them onto a restaurants balcony. Dorian moved forwards slowly. Chad and Joel lunged.

Cami ducked the slash from Ryan and kicked his legs from under him. She dodged to one side and swung a kick using the momentum, enough to put Kelsey through the wall of the restaurant. "Never mess with Conjura!" she warned. Kelsey fried her blaster. Cami raised a mirror decorated with demonic shapes; the blasts hit it and returned with more power then before. "I warned you" Conjura sang.

Dorian raised a hand; the scroll appeared and deflected the Lancer slash. His fists glowed dark blue and he swung both up sharply. The blue flash was accompanied by Joel's shout as he arched up and crashed down. Chad spun into a kick; Dorian caught the limb and swung the ranger with one hand before crashing him down onto the ground. He raised his fist and blue lightening leapt from his knuckles sending Chad screaming in pain backwards. "Feel the Wrath of Desparion" he sneered as he advanced again.

Nick wired away from the stabs and slashes. "I feel so bored" Nick smirked. "Hey! Let's remodel! THE CITY!" He caught Carters punch and sent a surge of lightening into the ranger. Dana swung a kick at him but he caught it and flipped her around. "You've got to learn the laws of the land. Don't mess WITH NECROSIS!"

The bolt of energy blasted from his eyes and flipped the pair over sharply. "It's time for you two to DIE!"

He raised his staff and levelled it at them. Dana was fast; the blast hit Necrosis in the chest and sent him flying back. Conjura and Desparion were at his side in seconds. His chest was writhing silver liquid. Like Dana had just shot the Terminator from the second movie. "What's happening!?" Necrosis groaned.

"We're not ready for blaster hits yet," Desparion explained. "I was hoping my calculations were wrong. But they never are...we should go, gather strength, next time there won't be this problem..."

Necrosis nodded and they rose, helping him up. They pointed the staffs into the air and the three beams sped into the sky.

The rangers converged on Dana and Carters position. The red and pink were firing at the trio of sorcerers but a dark wall of energy protected them. The sky was dark with clouds as a pentangle tattooed itself above them in a golden haze.

"What's happening?" Kelsey shouted over the rushing winds.

"It's a summons!" Sera shouted. "They're calling up the Black Island, an island in the skies that is consecrated ground for evil. A castle was built on it where all demon mages left their magic knowledge. It's not the strongest Demon Creation ever but it can be devastating especially if we don't have any way to defend against it!"

The castle lowered from the symbol in the air. The three sorcerers vanished and materialized within the castle, their dark laughter echoing through the city.

"Ms Fairweather?" Carter exclaimed.

"We're seeing it Carter" Ms Fairweather replied over the com-link. "We're trying to figure out what to do. None of the zords are in working order...some aren't even put together."

"I'll find somewhere safe and run a data search for any weak points on the castle" Sera said darting off into a nearby archway. Joel looked up. "We should get up there and take it down from the inside."

"How can we do that? Ten to One we'd be shot down before we even got close" Ryan sighed. "There has to be some way to disable it for just a few seconds"

"Rangers!" Ms Fairweather was excited. "We'd managed to fix up the Rail Rescues a little, not enough to combine but we can use them to fire their weapons."

"All right" nodded Carter. "We'll have to go for it. It's our only chance"

"Sad but true" sighed Kelsey.

"Home sweet home!" called Necrosis shoving the tall doors of the black castle open. The island was shaped slightly like an airplane carrier, long to the front with a castle near the back. The lightening crackled in the private clouds it carried.

"Now, lets have some fun" Necrosis grinned, he flicked his wrist at the doors and they shut like a crypt door.

"Rail Rescue blasters online" Dana said over the communicator in the turbine cannon. She sat in it with Kelsey and Ryan. Carter, Joel and Chad were in the other "arm".

"Fire" Carter breathed. The missiles fired at the castle as the turbine released a burst of light straight at the castle...they hit a force field. "NO!"

The black light engulfed the buildings and turned them into macabre twisted forms of metal, brick and glass. It came from the enormous dark gem on the underside of the island, like ink striking in a splash that twisted things beyond recognition.

"The force field is too strong" Dana said cutting off the blast. "Carter! You'll waste the ammunitions STOP!"

The sober tone of Dana's voice forced Carter to release the fire button. Joel hit a few buttons nearby as Chad altered options on a screen. "Okay...using our most powerful rockets..."

He paused mid sentence as the red energy came from the street, a crimson flare they couldn't lay eyes on. The enormous column of red struck the shield and shattered it like cheap glass. "What the hell was that! ?" Kelsey exclaimed.

"The shields down!" Chad said. "Go!"

"What happened?" Conjura shrieked.

"An energy blast, a spell of some sort and a powerful one it shattered our shields" Necrosis growled. They stood in the throne room. The three black seats on the slightly raised platform at the end of the red carpet were glowing slightly. The trio stood before them holding out an orb each.

"I'm rebuilding the fields," reported Desparion as he gestured at the orb, symbols flying from the tips of his fingers along with a blue-white glow. "But it'll take time!"

The blaze of fire spat in from the windows as a huge quake ran through the castle. "WHAT IS GOING ON!?" Necrosis roared.

"Rangers" spat Desparion. "The castle's losing altitude"

"Fine, we'll play it there way then!" snarled Necrosis aiming the blast at the fire station and hitting it. "If I'm not much mistaken that's Grayson's old fire station. Yay for me!"

The building burst into flames. Carter's rage burned brighter then the fires and he hit the fire button. The island rocked and shook as the rangers blasted it full on.

"NO!" Conjura shrieked. "The magic's being sifted out!"

"I WILL NOT GO DOWN IN AN ANTI-CLIMAX!" bellowed Necrosis. He gripped the orb before him. "We'll be back rangers!" he snarled with hate into the orb, so that his words of spite were carried through the streets. "Those who fight and run away live to kill another day!"

The island vanished into the black inky darkness and green lightening. The sky cleared into a beautiful blue...cleansing droplets of rain poured down on the city. The Rangers leapt from the Rail Rescues.

"We stopped them," Carter murmured.

"This time" Ryan breathed. "But they'll be back"

"We'll be waiting" Kelsey said. "And we'll make sure they don't succeed!"

* * * *

"Damn! The showers out!" Dana groaned. She stepped out of the side room wrapped in a short pink cotton dressing gown. "It busted again!"

"Uhh well this half of the base was separated from the other half. Just as well they worked fast or we'd be swimming around to get here!" Kelsey exclaimed.

Dana nodded. "Yeah I guess, I suppose we're lucky the living quarters is independent of the generator. If it didn't have its own we'd all be stuck stinking!"

"Chad, Carter and Joel should be done" Kelsey said. "Why not ask to use their showers?"

Dana sighed and gathered her things. "All right, be back in five"

"Make it ten we're women" Kelsey grinned as she brushed at her hair.

Dana gave a laugh and walked down the hall. She made her way to the men's rooms and pressed the button by the door. The bleep was a signal to the boys. She could hear a furious shuffling behind the doors and finally a shout of "Come in".

Dana walked in. "Hey guys," she said. Joel and Chad were nearly dressed. Joel had a green shirt and beige khaki trousers on. He was dusting his cowboy had off, Chad was pulling on his blue t-shirt; he wore a pair of blue jeans and same coloured runners.

"Hey Dana" they said. Then noticed what she was wearing, the extremely short dressing gown. Ten to one her father didn't know it existed.

"Umm our shower gave out, Kelsey got hers...I didn't can I use yours?" she asked with a hopeful smile. Chad and Joel looked at each other slyly.

"Sure" Joel said. "See you in a bit...have fun..."

Dana raised an eyebrow at that remark. What do they expect me to do in the shower...ugh on second thoughts I don't want to know, she thought. She placed her things on the bed opposite the door to the shower room. She paused as she listened; the stony silence wasn't so stony or so silent. She bit her lip and pushed the door to the showers open a crack. He had his back to her, the steam rising past his hips obscuring his backside. Her eyes widened and she pulled back out of the room.

I will personally kill Joel and Chad," she growled inwardly. Swiftly she hurried over to her clothes on the bed and concealed her underwear before clearing her throat and calling: "CARTER?"

The water was cut off and a moment later Carters dripping head poked from the door eyes wide with surprise. "Umm...Dana?"

"Oh, I just wanted to check if you were still here...the guys said I could use the shower here..."

Carter paused before speaking again. "I see...one minute..." he vanished back into the room and returned with a towel around his waist. "Umm...its all yours..."

Dana nodded and hurried past him, the shoulder of her dressing gown slipped and she swallowed nervously as she readjusted it, holding her dressing gown closed. "Thanks" she said with a smile.

Carter let out a breath and grabbed his clothes. He groaned and realized he'd left his clothes in the bathroom. "Hey Dana...can you pass me my clothes out? They're on the counter..."

The clothes appeared at the end of a slender arm. "Thanks" he said. Then came the pair of boxers. Red boxers with tie-dye flames on them. "Ah..."

Dana gave a snigger. "Nice underwear Carter"

"Umm..." he shrugged. "Joel did them, he thought it would be funny for me to come back in and find anything white in my wardrobe died funny colours".

Dana laughed from behind the door. "I won't tell anyone" she reassured.

"Thanks" Carter said. He dressed and left the room.

*****

Sera stood in the control room. A group of scientists past by with a large drill. "We've opened the other main tunnels," Ms Fairweather said. "The Rescue Drills I was working on were partially intact. And the drainage system just needed to be reconnected."

Sera smiled. "Well I...I have to go now it's been real b-but have to get going the hostel tosses my stuff out if I miss curfew and I have to find a new one"

"Hostel?" Dana stood in the doorway her hair still wet. "Why don't you just go back to your parents?"

"They...they died a long time ago" Sera murmured. "I like the Hostel, it gives free breakfasts!"

"Guys!" Dana called. The other rangers arrived. "Sera wants to stay in a Youth Hostel."

"No way!" Kelsey exclaimed. "We have tons of room!"

Captain Mitchell entered with a smile. "Lightspeed has been reinstated and funding for the Rescusezords to be rebuilt is flooding in from all sources!"

"Dad" Ryan said. "Sera was really helpful right?"

The Captain nodded.

"And she has a gift that could help us save the lives of hundreds" Dana smiled.

"And she shouldn't have to stay all alone in the city" Chad added.

"She'd be an invaluable member to the team, an early warning system and demonologist!" Joel interjected.

"She'd be able to save lives with analysis of the demons," Carter said.

"She could help with Magical research to fight the sorcerers" Ms Fairweather said from behind the captain. "Fire with Fire"

"And she'd be super cool company" Kelsey shrugged. "I mean she's clever and calm under pressure. Brave enough to try help us out!"

"She can stay" Captain Mitchell said. "I intended to ask all along."

"I...I" Sera paused. "Maybe...I don't want to get too far involved. I don't want to be dragged straight into this...I can't allow that! I'd hardly stand a chance if I did!"

"You could be an observer" Captain Mitchell reassured her. "You'd not have to leave the base in a crisis."

Sera bit her lip. "Give me time to think about it," she said.

"We'll go collect your stuff from the Hostel" Kelsey said taking an arm as Dana caught the other and they grinned at her. "Then we can decorate your side of the room!"

"It's going to be so much fun evening out the girls on the team!" Dana smiled. She looked at Carter. "We can always tie-dye stuff when we get bored"

Carter swallowed deeply. The girls left. Ms Fairweather looked at Joel. "We never got a proper chance at a date" she said. "Shall we?"

She offered Joel her arm and he linked with her, a goofy grin on his face. "Sure thing Ms F!"

"Angela please" Ms Fairweather smiled.

Lightspeed was back. They'd need to be.

NEXT TIME:

"The Easter Parade is to celebrate the Founding of Mariner Bay" Captain Mitchell explained to Sera. "It's a fun time for everyone."

"Its perfect for Nick...rosis to attack" Sera said. "He loves irony"

"Well if the people like a celebration of eggs...wait until they see what this one Hatches!" sneered Necrosis.

"Oh look Rangers" Conjura said. "Just in time for the egg and spoon race!"

"Anything for an egg pun?" Necrosis smirked.

"When the eggs hatch..." Sera gasped. "Mariner Bay will be over run by bestial demons! Because when the eggs hatch they explode and the demons can overtake in the confusion and panic!"

"Rail Rescues Back on Line!" Ms Fairweather exclaimed. "I hope".

A/N: Well? I decided on Option 2. You voted 2 against 1. Sorry Ms Birdman! I kept a little something in there for you from the original story! Sorry keep reviewing you've been helpful.

Well Episode 3 will be up soon called "Hatching Plans". Please review. I've been swamped so revamping fics has been hard. But I'm back better. I need reviews to reawaken my Lazy muse. General E Twisted is poking me into a fic with him from the Might Ducks universe. It's slash but may never take off (no duck puns intended). See you in a few. Ciao!
