Chapter 2 - Surprises for All
It'd been one month since Sirius had arrived at Lupins house, and the two were becoming closer by the second, they talked of many things, what they wanted to do in Hogsmead. What they wanted to be when they were older…What else they had done in the holidays.
It went so fast for the two of them that in fact before they knew it they had already been at Diagon Alley and that morning were leaving for the train. They'd got a letter from James that they'd meet in the train itself instead of the station.
It was that morning then however when Sirius puzzled at how they would get to the station.
"Do you know any muggle vechiles Sirius," said Joseph. Both Lupins hid there secret as Sirius nodded.
"I do…" said the black haired wizard ruffling his own hair.
"Well we have one with two wheels," said Remus excitedly. It's the most expensive thing we own apart from our shop." He said and Sirius Black was disappointed, was that what all the fuss was about, a two wheeled muggle invention.
When Joseph got out the contraption and Sirius took back the insults. "It's--It is--Wow!" he said breathless. The motorbike looked brand new with a wolf inscribed on the side, with "Moony" engraved on it and beside it "Joey". It was a sight to look at and there was side car on the right hand side which had enough room for everything they carried.
"I found it a few years ago and Moony and I decided to spruce it up." Said Remus's father with glee. "I worked on the engine and Moony here worked on the design and paint work…it took a long time but it all paid off. I now use it all the time and still watchers stop and stare at us…" he said.
"Not surprised there!" said Sirius.
They slid into the seats and put on their helmets. "Hang on Sirius!" said Joseph and before the black haired boy knew he was zooming down the road tense with excitement and with terror holding on for dear life as they sped down the deserted lanes.

"Where are they!" said James, angrily, "They should be here by now!" he said, "2 minutes till the train leaves…" he muttered to Peter who sat beside him, as they both stared out longingly for Sirius and Moony.
James Potter had a tan from his holiday but even growth wise hadn't changed a bit. His hair was still scruffy and his glasses were on askew as usual. The only real change was his voice had broken.
Beside him though Peter had changed some much. Petigrew looked even more like a rat now, he must eaten a lot of junk food because there was a lot of fat in his cheeks and his beady eyes darted back and forth like James looking for the other two Marauders.
When suddenly in the distance they saw a motorbike pull up and three figures run forward. Sirius cheered when he saw James and smiled.
"HEY PRONGS!" he called out childishly. "Scruffy as usual I see!"
Joseph helped put Lupins and Sirius trunk in the apartment and then Sirius climbed in and Lupin was about to aswell when he saw his father standing there he turned to face him.
"Dad…" said Remus sighing
"Moony" replied his father, he stuck out his hand to give a handshake, a formal way of goodbye without embarrassment for his son, but for reasons un known even to himself Remus brushed it aside, he jumped into his fathers arms and gave him the warmest embrace.
"See you soon Dad!" said Remus.
"Be good…" said Joseph, tears in his eyes.
"I will," said Lupin and then climbed in the compartment after Sirius, "BYE DAD!" he called out as the train went to pull away from the station and Joseph waved him away a solitary tear running down his face.
"Bye son…" he whispered to himself, as the train became a dot in the distance.

The train was buzzing with excitement. As usual old friends were meeting up and talking about the hols and that included the Marauders, all the way through the train journey the Marauders talked of the holidays.
Sirius then reached into his bag, "Oh James this is for…early birthday present you could say!"
James laughed as he opened the parcel to the handheld mirror Sirius had taken with him to Moonys.
"I've got one, and so has Moony," said Sirius laughing, "Sorry Pete, I couldn't get you one, I'll get you a decent present for your B day I promise." He added to Petigrew, but he noticed that Peter had fallen fast asleep as usual.
"Mad as a hatter that boy is!" said James as the three of them watched him sleep and snore. When the compartment door opened.
"Look, Potter Squib boy, Rat boy and my little Cous!" said the figure.
"Bella…" said Sirius angrily. James and Lupin stood up with him to protect Bella in a sense from Sirius, they had seen what their friend could do when he was angry and they didn't want to start a fight.
"Easy Cousin, I just wanted to say hello…your dads very angry with you though Sirius, don't be surprised if you get a howler at school…Maybe he can give you just a good beating with his words than with his belt!" said Bella. When Sirius cowered back in fear, James went to go forward in defence, but instead something unexpected happened.
"Why don't you go an pick on someone your own size Black…" said a voice, James and Sirius were both stunned to see Moony infront of both of them standing proud and tall infront of Bella, determination in his blue eyes.
It was Bella's turn to cower back this time as he looked at how much Lupin had grown, she gave an uneasy grin and then turned to her Cousin. "You better tell squib boy your new body guard to mess with me or I will get him…" she said and then the girl walked away. Lupin closed the door behind her and turned back to his friends.
He took a deep breath. "Never done that before--Never will again either…" he said smiling and Sirius gave him the biggest grin, the boys all laughed and the laughing was cut short as Peter woke in the confusion.
"What--What's going on!" he said with a hint of fear in his voice. "What happened!"
James laughed, "A tale for another time mate!" he said and then more joy was heard which was heard by all on the Hogwarts Express as it puffed it's long way to Hogwarts.

Arriving at Hogwarts the Marauders grabbed their things and began to walk to the carriages carried by invisible creatures. They all jumped inside one and since there was no more room for anyone else still continued to talk about the events leading up this point, When the carriages stopped and went to walk in the great doors of Hogwarts.
Sirius sighed, "Good old Hogwarts" he said aloud to himself, and the magnificent castle hadn't changed a bit. When the four started to walk there was a voice over the crowds.
"LUPIN!"
Remus turned to the voice and saw his head of House calling him, he gave a thumbs up to his friends. "See you soon!" he said and then ran out of the rabble and into McGonagall's line of sight.
"Ahh Remus there you are, come, we must go to my office, then you will go to the Headmasters…" she said, Remus gulped, what had he done this time!

Remus Lupin was nervous, he'd met the head of the school a few times, he spoke during the feasts and gave announcements a lot, he was a very powerful man and was feared by even the greatest wizards. Lupin respected him in that sense, but didn't know the man well enough yet to know him, as even a mentor.
He stood infront of the large metal Griffin just like McGonagal had said to him to do and said the words. "Chocolate Frog".
The Griffin then sunk into the ground and disappeared infront of him; there were a lot of spiraling steps in its place. They were ascending like an escalator, and Lupin scrambled onto a step and was taken slowly upwards.
He then came to a door after the stairs and knocked three times, "Enter!" said the voice and the young teen walked in. He saw a beautiful room with golden and red tapestries and sitting at a desk with a large phoenix at his side was his headmaster, Albus Dumbledore.
"Professor…" said Lupin bowing his head, "You called for me…"
Dumbledore smiled behind his half moon spectacles. "I certainly did young Remus…I wished to talk to you before the feast, don't worry you are not in any trouble!" he said as he looked at Lupins pale face. "It is merely to help you in this world."
The Headmaster then turned behind him to the stairs leading to another room" You can show yourself now Ki…"
Suddenly Remus felt a hand on his shoulder, he turned to see a very tall man, with long silvery hair tied back in a ponytail staring down at him with vivid blue eyes.
Lupin gasped and Dumbledore chuckled. "Don't worry Remus. He is my guest, Ki this is the young boy I told you about, Remus this is Ki Morwena. A dominator." He said and Remus couldn't have been more confused.
"What is a dominator Professor?" he asked Dumbledore, then the headmaster nodded to Ki who spoke.
"A dominator is one of the chiefs at Cave of the White Sphere. Where the Werewolf Chamber takes place."
Lupin couldn't speak he couldn't believe what he had just heard, and then finally found the courage to, stared straight at the man beside him. "A werewolf…" he said bluntly.
Ki looked at Remus and smiled sadly as he got down on one knee and put a hand on Remus's shoulder. "Yes young one, I am a Werewolf…"

Lupin had never ever in a million years thought to believe what had just happened. Ki Morwena, was the new Defence against the Dark Arts teacher and also during the Hogsmead Weekends he would go with the teacher to The Caves of the White Sphere to meet other werewolves just like him.
His father had been informed, and he'd agreed to it! This just had to be a dream! There is no way this could at happen to me! Lupin continued to say out-loud as he ran back to the feast. He walked into the Great Hall quickly and slid into the seat on Sirius's other side. They had already done the Sorting Hat and Dumbledore announced the arrival of their new DADA teacher and about the Hogsmead trips.
Lupin couldn't help but grin at the mention of the Hogsmead trips. He'd not be going with them, or with his friends, since he knew the next full moon was the evening of the trip so he would be going to The Caves of the White Sphere for definite.
The feast was quite quick for everyone else, but slow for the werewolf. He wanted to go to the common room and tell his friends about the new teacher, though he was not sure if it was such a good idea telling them.
However, what about your pact? Came a voice in Lupins head. He'd promised not to keep secrets, he would tell them, just not yet maybe, after a while.
That evening a lot of partying went on in Griffindor common room. One of the fourth year students had brang a crate of Butterbeer in from Honeydukes (apparently his dad owned it). All evening lots of them, Sirius and James mainly were dancing on the table singing songs about wizards and duels, traitors and heroes.
Lupin smiled. His friends were the best that ever happened to him after his dad had told him he'd got into Hogwarts, and looking at the two now clashing mugs and dancing on the table he was glad they were happy like him.

Hope u liked this second Chappie! I promise soon Animagus will come into it and so will Quidditch, but I want to make this about Lupin a lot, because Lupin rules. He is so underrated in the Harry Potter books…Don't worry though, After this year I will do Y5 and it will be a lot about Sirius and James, especially James's anger and Voldermort's rise in power. (You'll see soon!) In addition, I know you want some pranking involved so if you have any ideas of Pranks the Marauders can do review plz and they just may be included!
