The story of 7th year
It was the 7th and final year at Hogwarts, and Lily Evans was sitting in a compartment on the Hogwarts express. She leaned back in her seat to look down at the people on the platform. There were hundreds of them, all saying their last good-byes before boarding the train. They looked so happy, and they all had families and friends with them. Lily really wished her parents could be here to see her off, and they would be if it weren't for the little fight that had broken out that morning. You see Lily was walking though her house, gathering last minute items to pack, when her sister Petunia, whom at one time she had been very close with, had started calling her a freak, for being a witch (Petunia was a muggle). In the end Lily punched her very hard and broke her nose. So right now Petunia, and Lily's mother and father were at the muggle hospital, getting Petunia re-constructive surgery. So Lily was left to get to school on her own. Lily Evans was a sort of shy girl; and she only had two friends. She had bright green eyes that sparkled and dark blood-red hair that fell just past her shoulders. She was in fact very beautiful, though few guys ever noticed her. But Lily didn't like the ones who did. This was the case with James Potter. James was a very popular boy at Hogwarts. There were no girls in the school who hadn't been completely obsessed with him at one point in time. The only exception to this was Lily. James was captain of the Quidditch team, he played Seeker. He had jet- black hair and glasses, and he was quite tall. James had a knack for getting into all sorts of mischief and he hung out with a group of four friends who all loved trouble about as much as he did, if not more. They were known as the marauders. These friends were Sirius Black, Remus Lupin, Peter Pettigrew, and of course James. James loved Lily; he had from the first time he had seen her in their first year.
Lily was still sitting in her compartment all alone when James walked in (he did this every year hoping maybe she had softened up to him, but she never had). "So Evans, had a good summer?" James asked "No it was terrible, like always. What about you?" Lily may not have liked James much but she was still polite. "It was really good, went to Sirius' and then to Remus'. Thought about sending you an owl, but I thought you would have gotten angry so I didn't. Hey! Are you excited for the Headboy and girl announcements?" "Oh my goodness yeah, I'd totally forgotten about them, wow I hope I make it." "You will, I know it." "How is that?" Lily asked pointedly. "Well, you're the smartest girl in our year. I would have thought it was a given." James was really excited. This was shaping up to be the best conversation with lily he had ever had. "So where are your friends?" James asked "Umm...well this is the Prefects carriage, and they aren't Prefects. You shouldn't even be here. But you're not exactly a rule follower are you?" "No I'm not." James said simply and walked out.
With James gone Lily got a bit bored. She pulled out a book and started reading. Outside the sky was slowly turning pink, and then gray, and then finally black.
