"Just For One More Day"
-E.Y. Amher Chapter 1

"Ginny! We are going to be late, COME ON!" shouted Hermione Granger, who was now extremely frustrated.

"I'm coming, just gimme a sec." Ginny Weasley was the youngest of seven children. Being the only girl in the family she was used to getting her own way whenever she wanted. That always included long amounts of time getting ready to go out. But this was no ordinary occasion. Harry Potter, the boy-who-lived, was finally coming home. He had left the wizarding world nearly 2 years before. Ginny had not seen Harry since November 18, the day Harry disappeared. The event was still vivid in Ginny's mind.

Flashback
It was Ginny's sixth yr., and Harry's 7th at Hogwarts. Lord Voldemort was at his greatest height of power, and it seemed he would never be defeated.
One day Harry, Charlie, and Ginny were visiting Hogsmead when the village was attacked, death eaters swarmed in from everywhere. Lucius Malfoy apparated in front of them.

"Harry Potter, what a "surprise" you would be here today. I must say your best friends do have trouble saying no to Lord Voldemort" With a smirk he threw the killing curse at Charlie grabbed Ginny an apparated.

Harry was to stunned to react, but was instead pulled inside of Weasley's Wizarding Wheezes by George and watched as Fred pulled his dead brother from the street and carried him inside.

End Flashback "Ginny I mean it I'm leaving for Harry's party right now. Bye!" Hermione pulled out her wand, -- "Calm down I'm ready. Come on 'Mione lets go," said Ginny brightly with a smile as she disapparated.

Chapter Two

When Ginny and Hermione arrived at the Burrow they hardly recognized it. It was bright with lights, and the garden was beautifully arranged, in honor of Harry's return. "Geesh Hermione, you think she loved Harry a lil bit more than the rest of us!" exclaimed Ginny. Hermione could tell Ginny was trying to direct the fear of seeing Harry into sarcasm, and it wasn't working to well. "'Mione I..I'm kind of nervous to see him. Last time, was awful. The day Charlie died." Hermione started to reply but was cut off. "OY! Gin, 'Mione over here." "Bloody Hell, thought you guys would never get here!" Hermione was hardly listening to her beloved boyfriend of four years. "HARRY! Finally, oh it's so good to see you." As they embraced, Ron turned to his sister with a twinkle in his eyes "Let me guess, Hermione was tapping her foot while you got ready for..." Ron checked his watch, "Four Hours." Ginny brushed him off and moved to greet Harry. "I missed you Gin." "I love you to Harry," said Ginny softly, Harry swore he imagined it. Just then Mrs. Weasley bustled in announcing dinner was ready.

Somehow Ginny and Harry ended up right next to each other. She spent the dinner up-dating Harry on the current relationships situations with-in the family and order.

"Percy and Penelope got married shortly after you left, they brought their son Leo, he just turned one yesterday. You know Bill and Fluer were expecting when you left, they have twin girls Maddie and Molly, just over two years old. George and Katie Bell, Fred and Angelina announced their engagements a few months ago. Ron and Hermione, still together, go figure. Tonks and Professor Lupin got married six months ago, and that's about it. Oh and Dad's fifth year anniversary of being Ministry of Magic is coming up soon, theres supposed to be a ball, but who knows."

The night of course ended with a spirited game of Quidditch.
