Chapter 1- Homecoming
Monica's P.O.V.
I was walking around the house, picking up last minute things. Trying to collect everything and fit into a U-Haul my cousin rented me for the trip. I was moving to North Carolina from New York. The dangerous busy streets, to cows and farms. Not much to say. Cameron and NYC was only a short 7 or 8 hours away, I was taking a plane, meaning my ass wasn't going to stay in no car for 8 hours. I packed my last bag of "memories" in the U-Haul and re- told them my destiny and I was off the airport and got onto my plane. The terrorists really messed the airport up, too many damn security guards tell
you that! I took my seat on the plane and waited for take off...
3 HOURS LATER
"Finally..." I said as I stepped off the plane, my body was aching from pain and more pain. I grabbed my little carry bag and looked around anywhere for
my cousin.
"Monica!" I turned toward the yell and saw my cousin Michelle.
"Hey Michelle!" I said hugging her.
"How was the flight?"
"Don't even ask" I responded by giggling.
"Well, I want you to meet some people when we get home, we're having a BBQ if you don't mind." She said as we were walking out the sliding doors and outside. It was a nice sunny windy day, I could get used to this, NYC was
nothing like this.
"I don't mind, I'm hungry." I softly giggled again as we walked to her car. It was 2001 Honda Civic, not bad for her. I placed my bag in the backseat
and sat in the passenger seat.
I was sitting there until Michelle's cell phone rang.
"Hello?...yea...no...(laughs)...I'm on my way don't worry about it. Whatever...bye."
She hung up laughing and sped down the street.
"How was that?" I asked.
"My friend Matt, you're really going to like him, he's really cool."
"Yea, you said that about Mark, but Mark's an ass, meaning your wrong."
"That was one tiny mistake." She sorta frowned.
"Right, mistake. Uh huh." I said sarcastically.
"Just shut up, before I kick ya ass out my damn car."
We both started to laugh...maybe this wasn't going to be so bad after all....
