'' Kai can you cook?'' asked Shadow as they walked back to the cabin
'' Sort of'' said Kai looking at Shadow '' Why?''
'' Just wonderin', what u wanna eat?''
'' Umm nothing really, I dont eat much''
'' Do not say that in front of Flame''
'' Why not?''
'' Because she will force you to the ground''
'' Oh''
'' Dont worry I wont force you to the ground I hardly eat myself'' chuckled Shadow softly
'' Right.'' There was a silence until they reached the cabin '' So what do you want to eat?'' asked Shadow
'' Dont know'' Kai replied
'' Well if you dont then I couldnt care less but I will tell you one thing im having myself a chip sandwhich'' Shadow looked at Kai and walked in the cabin.
Kai just sighed and muttered under his breath '' Women they are so stubbon.''
After they had eaten Shadow got up and left the table '' Where are you going?'' said Kai
'' Bed its getting late in the morning im going to see Flame'' said Shadow without turning round. Kai stared after her and watched her enter their new room. He also stood up and walked in the opposite direction as he got undressed into his PJ's he heard a gush of water and he felt his mind wondering to the shower, he shook his head. He heard a scream and ran towards the bathroom. He banged on the door and shouted to her ''Shadow are you alright!!!!''
'' Dont worry I just relised I forgot my toothbrush!! '' she yelled back. Kai shook his head with a smirk on his face, he walked back to his bed and lay down he heard Shadow come back and climb into her bed. '' Night'' said Kai
'' Yeah night'' Shadow turned over and drifted into a deep sleep. In the middle of the night kai awoke to see Shadow tossing and turning in her bed, he noticed she had a pained look on her face. He slipped out the bed and sat down on Shadow's bed, he moved her hair out her face and held it until she calmed down and her eyelids fluttered open.
'' Whats the matter?'' said Kai
'' Oh nothing'' mumbled Shadow and turned over. Kai pulled her back and looked at her
'' Something is the matter so tell me''
'' What do you care? You are just like the rest of them'' she said and turned back over. Kai turned her over again
'' Listen I know somethings the matter I have only known you a week but I can tell when someone is unhappy so tell me''
'' I cant tell you '' said Shadow looking up at Kai '' And if I was you I wouldnt want to know about me or my team, they will come after you''
'' What are you on about?''
'' I...I I said I cant tell you'' stuttered Shadow
'' C'mon you can trust me.'' Shadow looked up, something in his voice told her he wasnt lying
'' O.k if I tell you, but you cant tell anyone and dont tell Flame and the others I told you promise me''

'' Ok when I was born it was the 6th of March 1989 my name is Shadow Vielda. I was never like this, never cold, I always used to be happy. Then one day when I was about 4 these men came to my house while me and my mam and dad were eating dinner, my mum answered and they killed her then my dad grabbed me and put me in the celler so they wouldnt find me. I didnt know what happened but then a man came down the celler and put me in a bag. I tried to fight back but I was only 4 so I wasnt that strong I was thrown into this place and I heard a van start up. I was terrified but then I felt something light fall on top of me and it was crying. I struggled to get out the bag and when my head and arms came out I noticed another bag next to me so I sat up and opened it and there was another girl in there who was about my age and she had red and gold hair.....''
'' So it was Flame?''
'' Yeah and she was crying so I pulled her out and hugged her. She looked at me and I asked her her name she said it was Flame and I said my name was Shadow, we just became friends right there and then but the people opened the van and dragged us out and we were in front of this big thing, I didnt know what it was neither did Flame and we saw two other girls in another van and the guards took us over and they said that these would be our cell mates and thats when we met Ocean and Sunlight. God I hated that place they used to starve us and beat us and force us to work even though we were little...''
'' Sounds like a place I used to belong to'' said Kai
'' What was that?''
'' Balcov Abbey or Biovault..'' but he was cut short by Shadow
'' I used to go their Biovault I mean''
'' I take it you went to the girl version umm what was it Valvoc (Val-voc) Abbey?''
'' Yeah....'' said Shadow trailing off staring up on the ceiling with a pained look on her face. There was a silence until Shadow opened her eyes and looked down at Kai with tears building in her eyes. '' Look at me im supposed to be the strong one in the group, im supposed to be the protecter and im spilling out our secrets, you know when we came in your house because Ocean hurt her foot, she hurt herself because we ran. We were in that place untill we were ten and then we broke out. We deicieded to make a team and we became famous and then two years ago they kidnapped us and put us in the abbey again and we were running from there.''
'' Hey dont cry'' said Kai wiping her tears that were falling from her eyes but once they were gone his hand stayed on her smooth wet skin, he looked into her eyes. The gap closed between them until their lips met, Shadow pulled away and looked at Kai suprised, Kai closed the gap again and this time they stayed where they were. They deepened the kiss and Shadow moved so she was closer and placed a hand on Kai's face. Kai's hand moved and layed itself and her back slowley running up and down. Reluctently Shadow pulled away for breath and layed her head on Kai's shoulder but quickly moved away and apologised '' Im so sorry I dont now what came over me''
'' Dont apologise it was...nice'' said Kai '' Umm im going to bed now''
'' Uhh yeah night.'' The next morning Kai woke up and looked over at Shadow and remembered with a jolt what had happened the night before. He got up and walked across to Shadow, he looked at her and gently moved a bit of hair out her face, Shadow's eyes fluttered open and her black and silver eyes darted across the room before finally setteling on Kai and smiling.
'' Good morning I thought you were going to see Flame?'' asked Kai playfuly
'' Ha ha very funny''
'' Are you going to get up now?'' asked Kai again
'' Hmm yeah'' Shadow got up and her black night dress fell over her slim body as she gathered up her clothes. She gave Kai a kiss on the cheek and retreted to the bathroom. Kai moved his hand up to the place where Shadow had kissed him and blushed. Once Shadow had got changed she went outside and walked over to Flames cabin she slipped inside and write 3 notes adressed to Ocean, Flame and Sunlight saying she would let them have the day off. Over at Shadow's cabin Kai was also doing the same and as he delivered them he met Shadow in the courtyard. He stopped her and wrapped his arms around her waist, she wrapped her arms around his neck and their lips met in a kiss but Shadow pulled away '' Dont Kai someone will see!'' she whispered urgently
'' And your point is?''
'' Hmph im going for a walk'' Kai stared after her ' Damn just as we were getting somewhere' but then Shadow turned around
'' Are you coming any day soon?'' Kai smiled and walked forewards and they walked off into the forest hand in hand.
