Climbing
I wasn't sure what I felt anymore,
As I walked into the clearing,
As I saw your eyes watch me leaving,
And when I found an old pine tree,
I climbed,
Climbing,
Just like us,
Our relationship would climb a bit higher,
Then it would stumble,
And fall out of the tree,
I was tired of waiting,
So exhausted,
I needed your decision,
And I needed it now,
No,
What I needed was release,
And so,
I climbed,
I climbed all the way to the top of the tree,
And,
I jumped,
But you were there,
And you caught me when I fell,
And you jumped up into the tree with me in your arms
And I realized,
That yes,
Climbing a tree was just like our relationship,
Because whenever we fell,
We'd climb right back up again.
