As darkness fell, the stars in the night sky began to sing
The breeze blew gently, sending a shower of
Leaves upon their heads,
The desert air cooling in the absence of the sun.
And in the moonlight, she began her graceful dance,
Letting the sounds of the night guide her.
As the music of the night played it's song for her,
She lost herself in it, becoming one with it,
Her steps and fluid motions becoming an
Extension of the music.
And as he watched, he became fascinated by
The total submission to the music that only she heard,
Drawn in by the sight of her body being
One with the music.
As the night went on, she continued her dance,
And the desert continued to play for her
And soon, the angels of the night noticed
The girl and her dance, and they flew down.
And, so astounded by the sight, they took her in their arms,
And delivered her to the angel of music,
For they saw in her the power
To raise her voice to the heavens,
Her voice more bright, more beautiful than her dance.
So she stood in front of the angel of music,
Still caught in the music of the desert night
And he saw her potential, and saw her sweet spirit,
And proclaimed her an incomparable beauty.
At this, her glowing eyes opened,
And gazed at him in wondering awe.
So astounded was he by her gorgeous eyes,
That he blessed her with the gift of unconditional love,
That, when the time came, she would be able
To give another the gift of her love-
To give another, with more heartache than she,
The gift of a second chance at life,
Who would love her in return, unconditionally.
Then, the angel of music released her
To the demons of the earth,
Giving her enough strength to withstand their torment.
Many years passed, in which she suffered
Undeniable pain and loss,
And then the time came.
A man found her, horribly scarred in both his body and mind
Recognizing her beauty and sweet spirit,
He claimed her as his own,
Unknowingly beginning an attack on her very soul.
Her mind began to crack,
And she lost sight of the gift she had to give.
Soon, a night came, when, desperate for her clear choice,
He gave her an ultimatum-
Choose him, or watch a beloved friend die.
Suddenly her eyes cleared,
And she saw him in a clear light.
The unconditional love swelled in her breast,
And, with no backward glances, she chose him,
Giving him the gift of her pure love.
In a moment of reckoning, though, he sent her away-
Repulsed by his own actions,
But now willing to let her find her happiness,
Unknowingly sending her away from that very thing.
But, in time, she found her way back to him,
With love and forgiveness glowing in her warm eyes,
And, proclaiming her love,
Vowed to never leave him again,
Saving him from death itself.
