Summery:::::: a vignette about spike's time in Africa.
Spike stopped outside of the cave wondering what in God's name he was doing. Did he really want to lose the chip and kill the slayer? See, that's what he came to Sunnydale to do, kill the slayer. But now, it was not just the slayer that he would be killing. It would be Buffy. His Buffy. The Buffy that he loved more that life itself. The Buffy that knew him. But essentially, the Buffy that he had tried to rape.
Well, it's now or never, Spike thought. He entered the cave only to be confronted by a gargantuan beast that he could only assume was the shaman.
"Why have you come here, vampire?" the shaman asked.
"I'm here to become what I once was, I'm here to give the slayer what she deserves", Spike answered.
"I will grant your request, but you must undergo trials"
"Bring 'em on, I'll do the trials"
"Alright. here is what you will need to do...."
