Disclaimer: I don't own any part of the Star Trek universe. I only own the characters you don't recognize.

I would like to thank my reviewers, Ladybug, Anarra, Crusherjaneway, and anyone who read this but didn't review (please review this time, though). Anyway, on with the show!

Zandile looked in disbelief at Captain Picard. "A mission? I just got back. I thought I wouldn't have to even go back on duty for at least a day." She stopped abruptly, then wiped emotion off her face. She started again. "What kind of mission?"

Captain Picard motioned for Zandile to take a seat, and as she did so, he turned his computer screen toward her. "We are going to go to Romulus. I have orders from Starfleet, as well as Ambassador Tarik, to go to Romulus and find Ambassador Spock. I think this transmission recording should explain everything to you." Picard pressed a button on the keyboard of the computer and a picture of Admiral Rabelo appeared on the screen. Picard tapped the button again and the transmission began.

"Hello Captain Picard," said Admiral Rabelo, "This mission is very important for the safety of Starfleet and the Federation. As you know, Ambassador Spock is on Romulus teaching a group of rebel Romulans Vulcan emotion control and meditation methods. His efforts were doing quite successfully until the authorities discovered the group and attacked and destroyed their base.

We have information that Spock and several of the rebel leaders escaped the attack and are deep in hiding. Spock has contacted us, and has asked for someone he knows to come and get him before they are discovered and killed. I don't need to tell you what the consequences would be if the Romulans discover a respected Federation Ambassador and former Starfleet Captain aiding Romulan rebels.

Since you were the one to visit Spock on Romulus last time, Captain, I would like you to go to Romulus to rescue Ambassador Spock. And, please, bring a security officer along, for protection. Remember what happened last time you visited Romulus. Good luck. Admiral Rabelo out."

The screen went blank.

Captain Picard turned off the computer, which now displayed the Starfleet end transmission logo that replaced the blank screen.

"I also received a similar request from Ambassador Tarik, who reminded me about the political implications if the mission fails." Said Picard, turning the screen toward him again. "I have spoken to Commander Worf, who has recommended you to be the security officer to accompany me. He thinks quite highly of your performance in his Klingon martial arts class. We will leave at 08:00 tomorrow morning. We need to go undercover, so I want you to visit Sickbay and get any supplies you might need to change your appearance. Dr. Crusher will show you how."

Captain Picard eyed her hairline, noting her long dark hair, which was held back just enough to pass Starfleet uniform regulations. "Also, perhaps you should visit the onboard hairdresser and get your hair cut to a Romulan hairstyle. Do you have any questions?"

"I'm honored that you and Commander Worf think so highly of me. I would like to know, though. How are we going to get there?"

Picard raised an eyebrow and said, "The Klingons. They are on good terms with the Federation. They also have cloaking devices and owe me a personal favor."

"Oh." Said Zandile in an awed/ understanding tone.

"Well, if that is all, you may be dismissed. I'll see you at 08:00 tomorrow in the shuttle bay."

Zandile's first stop after leaving the Captain's ready room was Sickbay. Dr. Crusher spent a few moments waving a tricorder over her body, and declared her fit for a mission to Romulus.

After she gave Zandile a few devices to help her alter her appearance and Zandile left, Dr. Crusher looked more closely at her readings, and her brow furrowed in thought.

A few minutes later, Zandile was in the hairdresser's place. She sat in the salon chair while the stylist washed and combed, and cut her hair.

"So you're going to Romulus. I heard they have some pretty good sights to see there," said the hairdresser.

"I'm not going to see the sights, I have a mission." Said Zandile.

"Well good luck on it. I see you've already had your plastic surgery done on those ears. Dr. Crusher did a nice job." She said, snipping a few stray hairs short and admiring Zandile's Vulcan ears. (Which the hairdresser was obviously confusing with plastic surgery Romulan ears.)

"Yeah, sure, thanks." Said Zandile, looking confused. "I haven't had short hair since I was a baby. This looks strange," she said looking in the mirror at the Romulan staring back at her.

"If you don't like it short, I can give you a hair follicle stimulator so you can re-grow it when your mission is over." Said the hairdresser. "It can help regrow your eyebrows, too," she added as an afterthought. A few minutes passed with the noise of the hairdryer preventing any further conversation.

"All done! And here's the hair follicle stimulator." Said the hairdresser.

"Thanks a lot." Said Zandile, jumping down from the salon chair. She took the small device that looked like a dermal regenerator from the hairdresser, bid her good afternoon and went back to her quarters to pack for the mission.

Well there you have it folks! Another chapter! Tell me what you think! Please! I have no life; I just sit here and wait for reviews!

Just kidding, actually I'm really busy. This is spring break, though, so I might post again later this week.

I won't post though, if no one reviews. (My sister, my twinny, and Anarra don't count)
