Through the water, everything is crystal clear, and yet somehow, they see nothing. I go largely unobserved, as much an ornament as the little pieces of plastic they shove into my bowl every day. Sometimes, I think they notice the ornaments more than they notice me. I am nothing more than scenery, but it doesn't really bother me. I am left alone with my furnishings. Today, I have a green plastic castle with a small, indiscernible flag painted on it. Like the flag, I cannot really be seen. I was a mistake, in the beginning, and now I am furniture.
