Authoress's notes: yeah yeah, I know what you're thinking. But I just can't seem to stop! They just keep on coming! I swear, the Poetry Muse will not set me free!! The songs just keep on comin'!

Forgotten angel,
There you are.
You were once one of us;
Then you fell like a star.
Down to Earth,
Down to Hell,
What happened to you,
Gabriel?
You disobeyed His word;
And thus you were punished.
And now you're a hunter,
Your memory tarnished.
You can pray all you want,
You'll never be the same.
For now you are the Hunter,
And demons are your game.
So hunt, fallen angel,
So that Light may once prevail.
But His grace has left you;
Fallen like a veil.
A veil that no-one can remove,
You'll not return lest He approve.
Your hunter's work is never done,
So slay the Evils, one by one.
'Til you find your salvation –
But it may never be.
And I know, of course,
That you'll not remember me.
So I pray for your soul,
Wherever it will go:
Heaven or Hell –
I do not know.
And yet, I have my hopes,
For a mountain has two slopes:
One goes up; the other down,
And so, I'll not let my hopes drown.
If hope remains,
Still in my heart,
Then you may yet be restored,
Like a work of art.
My Forgotten Angel,
Gabriel.
