Warning!" the computer shouted the red lights started blinking and the
normal lights dimmed signalling danger.
"Holy cheemuck!" she was startled awake by the computers warnings. "Computer?" she asked. She was answered by the fammiliar beeps telling her that the computer was ready to accept commands. "What's happening?"
"The proximity alert has been activated."
"No shit, ya think?"

"What has activated the proximity alert?"
"Federation vessel detected on long range senors."
"Where?"
"Directly astern."
"Damn! I'm tired and I want to go to sleep!" she said to herself as she got out of bed. "Computer, what our ETA?"
"At current speed 3 hours." the computers emotionless Lucy Lawless voice relied.
The hiss of the automatic doors separating the bridge and her bedroom. This, she found, was always comforting to her. What did they want now, she thought to herself, I'm trying to get to Earth. "Beep, Beep," these beep indicated that she was being hailed. "Beep, beep,"
"Computer, open a channel to the federation ship." the view screen was instantly activated and the interior of a highly damaged Federation bridge was shown. Sitting of a chair in the middle of the bridge was the Canadian Captain of the ship. By the looks of it the ship was in a fire fight and they didn't fight back.
"Avelon here"
"Sakura, I am Captain Chris Waner, of the federation transport ship 365. We were attacked by a harrok scout ship.
"I can see that" transport ship she thought that explains a lot. Transport ships were as heavily shielded as a Kitar supreme war ship but were armed like a mobile infantry, with only 1 particle beam and no torpedoes. A harrok scout ship has reversed hull polarity for shields (particle weapons and laser based weapons are practically worthless) and armed with 13 explosive torpedoes and 3 laser based weapons. "Im suppressed your still drifting."
"We disabled there weapons and engines."
"Im really impressed. You should be in the cockpit of a Raoman fighter."
"Can you offer any assistance?"
"Im on my way to Earth, I'll drag you there."
"No our structural integrity field is down, a grappler ray would crush us!"
"If your structural integrity field is offline, how are you still in one piece?"
"To say the truth I really don't know."
"I'll gladly help you but I don't know how without the grappler ray."
