Chapter 3
After leaving Miroku and Sango, Inuyasha rushed off and landed in the nearest open field to think. As he was sitting down he picked up Kikyo's scent. "It's her!" He exclaimed as he ran to meet her. While he was running he noticed that Kikyo's scent had changed from before, like she had added something to it. Kikyo was sitting by the river in her kimono as Inuyasha walked up behind her. "Kikyo?" Inuyasha asked hesitantly. "Yes Inuyasha?" Kikyo said without turning around. "I wanted to talk to you." Inuyasha said. "Yes, I wanted to speak with you as well." Kikyo replied. "You go first." She said. "Ok." Inuyasha said trying to find the right words to say. While this was going on, Kikyo stood up and when she was finally eye to eye with Inuyasha, he noticed that her kimono wasn't closed all the way and her stomach was sticking out more than usual. "What are you staring at Inuyasha?" Kikyo asked. "Did you gain weight, Kikyo?" Inuyasha asked sarcastically since he knew the real answer (I think we all do right!). "If you really want to know...I'm pregnant." Kikyo sort of blurted out. "Wha...Really!" Inuyasha didn't expect her to actually say it.
