Freddy vs. Jason: The Rematch

Chapter 5: Alice and Jacob

Alice Johnson sat watching the news, with her son Jacob, in horror. Yvonne was dead and that wasn't the worst of it. It was HOW she died that had Alice so scared, mad, and worried. According to the reporter, she had been found in the hot tub, in pieces. What baffled the investigators was that there was no weapon found at the scene capable of doing that to a person and that there were no signs of a struggle; all of the blood and body parts were found in the hot tub only.

'It had to have been HIM," Alice thought, 'it HAD to have been him,'

"Mom, is something wrong?" Jacob asked.

Alice shook her head and replied in a soothing voice.

"No Jacob, everything is fine, that was just a friend of mine and I'm a little upset."

Jacob looked at his mom questioningly, unsure whether or not to believe her.

"Jacob, you can keep watching TV but I'm going to take a nap so I want you to keep the volume down."

Jacob nodded and Alice smiled before walking out of the room.

"Don't go looking for him," Jacob said as his mom reached the stairs.

"Who would I look for dear?"

"You know who," Jacob said, his voice getting deeper.

"What's wrong with your voice honey?" Alice asked with genuine concern.

Jacob chuckled in a low gritty voice that was most unlike his own.

"All these years without me must've weakened your powers."

Alice was thoroughly confused now, why was Jacob talking like that? Her confusion deepened when Jacob started to laugh, which turned into an all too familiar mad cackle. Realization dawned on Alice as she back her way up the stairs when suddenly, the stairs gave out and Alice's back foot plunged into a thick, gooey, paste. She tried to get free but the harder she tried, the harder it got! As she fought for her freedom, Jacob morphed right before her eyes, his shirt turning into a sweater and that sweater lacing itself with red and green stripes, his pants turned black and burns appeared on his face. As he stood up, he grew until he was about 5'11" and he turned to face Alice, his eyes bloodshot and signature four bladed glove firmly in place on his right hand.

"Miss me Alice?" Freddy asked.

"What did you do with Jacob?" she asked furiously.

Freddy pulled something out from behind his back and Alice let out a gasp of horror. It was Jacob, his eyes were gone, replaced by red-rimmed black holes and he had a deep slash on his throat that was bleeding freely.

"You mean this little piggy? He's right here are you..." Freddy paused, "BLIND?"

Alice's eyes were suddenly overcome by an intense burning sensation. Her vision blurred and she screamed in absolute agony. Then, almost as swiftly as it came, it left. Freddy chuckled and dropped the body of Jacob on the floor as he walked up to Alice.

"You thought you knew how my power worked didn't you?"

Alice nodded, "You need soul..."

"No, wrong. All I need is fear. If people are afraid of me, I can always come back, no matter what people do to me."

Alice growled at him and with powers born of her friends souls, she wrenched her foot free of the slop it was stuck in and kicked Freddy in the stomach and then roundhouse kicked him into the wall. As Freddy got back up, she ran to the balcony of her house to try and get to a sword someone had given to her as a present. Freddy didn't let her though. Using powers given to him by the dream demons, he stretched his arm out to a ridiculous length with ridiculous speed and wrapped it around his enemy's neck before retracting his arm with the same speed and throwing her into the wall next to him. She hit the wall with tremendous force, so much so, that she bounced off of it! Freddy then used the same limb extension trick to kick Alice in the stomach and slam her into a wall. As Freddy's leg retracted, Alice slumped against the floor, he wasn't nearly this powerful last time. As Alice struggled to get her breath back, Freddy walked over to her nonchalantly, absentmindedly clicking his finger blades.

"Poor, poor Alice," he mocked, "so much power and you let it slip away. Don't worry though, I'll be able to put it to good use."

Alice glared up at her nemesis, and felt a rush of power. She was about to turn it out on Freddy when she felt it leaving, almost as if it were being sucked out of her. She realized that Freddy was stealing her power! She cursed herself for thinking Freddy was gone for good and burying her power.

Once he had sucked the last ounce of power out of Alice, Freddy sighed a contented sigh.

"Now that's more like it, now, to finish you off. You've beat me one too many times. Too bad for you you're not immortal."

"Maybe not, but neither are you. One day, someone will beat you. Someone will kill you."

"Doubtful, but either way, it won't be you."

Freddy grabbed Alice, who knowing it was futile, made no attempt to fight back.

"Come now," Freddy said, sounding slightly disappointed, "Don't you think this is rather anti-climactic? You beat me twice and no you fall without a fight?"

Alice didn't respond and Freddy raised a finger blade to her throat.

"You're not going to try and stop me?"

Still, no response. Frustrated, Freddy sliced her throat open, causing blood to spill out onto the floor and fill her lungs. Alice toppled to the ground, hand to her throat and gasping for breath while trying to fight off the intense burning in her lungs. Deciding to cause a bit more pain, Freddy pointed two fingers at his enemy's chest and made a 'come here' motion and both of Alices' lungs were ripped from her body in a spectacular fountain of blood. Alice clawed at the air for a few seconds in absolute agony before she fell to the ground, dead.

Freddy chuckled, "5 down, 4 to go," Soon, his chuckle turned to a laugh, and his laugh into his characteristic mad cackle.
