Updated for Chapter 2

Thank you to all who took the time to review the first chapter of Uncommon Necessities. I'm flattered that people like my writing style. I also hope poor and neglected Tidus is finally getting some of the attention he deserves. Some minor spelling and grammatical errors from the first chapter have been corrected and the asterisks issue has been taken care of. I proofread all of my work obsessively, but one does still miss things, so I'm looking for a good beta-reader. If you want to help out shoot me an e-mail.

Uncommon Necessities will be a five-part story, plus a short epilogue (I hope to have it finished before the end of July.) It deals with an unusual relationship that is shared between Tidus, Riku, and Sora, what impact it has on them, and (most importantly) what lies at the root of that relationship. It may be slightly confusing at first, but stick with the first chapter and it will make sense.

There are many levels to this story, and no one is as simple as they seem at the get go. The story is a cycle: we begin at the end, head toward the beginning, and them come full circle. It is also completely AU, so don't expect the Heartless to arrive anytime soon, and if any of the other Kingdom Hearts characters appear, their roles will be minor.

Uncommon Necessities is rated PG-13 for some mild language, mildly Yaoi-ish situations (though there aren't any pairings), mild violence, and angst to beat the band. This story starts quite fluffy, and continues to have fluffy moments, but it gets dark quickly.

Finally, a note to the potentially confused, there are several timelines running simultaneously, and whenever you encounter a horizontal line a time shift has occurred. I will do my best to make this clear from the text, but you never know.
