The house on 27th street remained Vacant for years until Bakura decided to buy it from the city.
"This place is a dump!" he said.
"Well, no one has been here for 28 years, they were going to tear this place down but I'm glad you finally decided to give it another chance." Said the landlord.
The house was an old three-story mansion that was deserted, because they said it was haunted. It was white but the paint was chipping and the faded green shudders were falling off the windows and were covered in spider webs.
"Ryou is going to go on a cleaning rampage with this place." Laughed Bakura.
"I'm sure he will." Said the landlord.
"I'm going to take a look around this dump." Said Bakura.
"Feel free to." Replied the landlord.
Bakura went up the stairs and peered into an old bedroom, it was a child's room. It had dolls that were covered in cobwebs and dust on a shelf that was nailed on the wall lop-sided.
"This would make a good office for me." Said Bakura.
Bakura looked in the bathroom and saw that it was nasty.
"Eck! This place smells like shit!" said Bakura as he quickly placed his hand over his nose.
He turned around because he heard singing.
"One two He's coming for you, three four he's at your door, five six and a crucifix, seven eight, at hells gate, nine ten he'll kill again." Sang the voice.
"Someone must be watching Nightmare on Elm St." said Bakura.
Bakura went upstairs and found another bedroom. A large window faced the bed, which was covered in dust and cobwebs.
"This will be my room, Ryou will have to clean it for me." Said Bakura.
He walked around and found a secret passage that went from the bedroom to the kitchen.
"Good, I can get midnight snacks easier now!" snickered the Yami.
Bakura went back down stairs. He walked back to the land lord.
"I'll take it." He said.
"Okay, just sign this contract and we'll give you the deed to the house." Said the landlord.
Bakura signed it. And looked up.
"Who lived here before they left?" Asked Bakura out of curiosity.
"A family with a small child, a little girl I believe." Said the landlord.
"What happened to them?" asked Bakura.
