Wolverine had taken Scott's motorcycle to find Theressa. He did have an idea of where his daughter was but couldn't say for sure. He had told Chris that he knew where she defanetly was to calm the boy down. If he had told him anything else Chris would have gone threw the roof and no telling what he would do to find his wife.

Wolverine pulled in front of the Jasper Texas Cemetary. He walked in and looked from tome stone to tome stone. He did this for a while. He would say that he was just checking out the scenary. Theressa would call it stalling.

I guess I am really trying to give her more time. Logan thought. I mean this is a whole lot more serious than the time she thought she had killed me. Well, she did but my healing factor brought me back. It wasn't easy to talk to her when she pushed you away. Then it only got harder when she finally did talk. This will be the hardest conversation yet. Let's just hope that she doesn't fire a laser or fly off again like she did the last time.

Logan walked to the top of a hill and saw Theressa sitting with her back leaned up to the big Oke tree, knees curled up to her chest, crying.

"What's troublin' you kid?"

"Nothing." She said as she raised her head and whipped the tears away.

"You sure? To me it sure sounds like something. I mean the way your crying."

"I don't want to talk about it. Okay?"

"Okay. Whatever you say kid. You know where you can find me if you do." Wolverine turned to leave. He hoped that Theressa would start talking before he left and just like he hoped she did start talking.

"How did you find me?"

"Well, I figured that this was the only other place you would go considering the fact that the danger room is out of order." Wolverine said as he sat next to Theressa.

"Xavier told you didn't he?"

"Yeah. Xavier told."

"A telepath can never keep a secret."

"Your one to talk."

"Yeah, well, I'm different. I can and will keep a secret. You probably went to Xavier asked him if he had seen me and he would have said no. Why? You would proceed to tell the story although Xavier already knows the whole thing but he allows you to tell it any way. You then asked him if he could use cerebro to find me and he says no. You ask why and he says because she needs time and you must give her time. You finally get the information that you seek and now you are here. Am I anywhere close at all?"

"Yeah. You got it right on the money. Did you by any chance read......."

"No, Logan I didn't read your mind. I've known you since I was twelve, I practically know what you do every time I leave."

"T, we need to talk." Logan said trying to get the conversation back on track. He knew Theressa was avoiding the subject.

"I wonder if Mickey has already told everyone." Theressa said.

"Kid, we need to talk."

"Isn't that what we're doing?"

"You know what I meant." Logan said with that father to daughter tone in his voice.

"Oh. You want to talk about that. I don't want to." Theressa said as she crossed her arms.

Wolverine could see her do this but only because he had high acute sences. It was probably around midnight. The drive down here had taken a while plus he had waited for a while back at the institute.

"Why not?" Logan finally asked. "We have to at one point or another. We can't just act like nothing is going on."

"Fine! If you're my father then who is my mother?"

"Silver Fox. She and I met threw a team called Team X. Our job was to go on black oporations or Soviet missions. We had to get in and get out. Other members of the team where Wraith, Maverick and your not going to believe this one, Victor Creed."

"What? You were on a team with Sabertooth?"

"Yeah, but we never got along. I was the leader and I wanted to do it on way and he wanted to do it another. We have always been at odds with each other. Anyway, where was I? Oh yeah, Your mother. She wasn't a mutant like us guys on the team but boy was she somethin'."

A shadow of anger came over his eyes. Theressa tried to read his mind and see what was wrong but every thought or memory was so mixed up she couldn't sort them all out even if she wanted to. All she figured was that he was upset or angry about something.

"What happened?" She asked as she unfolded her arms.

"She was killed by Sabertooth. Luckily, you weren't there. Otherwise that blasted furball would have killed you too."

"Where was I?"

"My buddy, Maverick also known as David North had come over to celebrate Silver Fox's birthday. He was playing with you when I heard something out in the front. I looked out the window and saw my worst nightmare coming back to haunt me. It was Sabertooth. I grabbed your mother showed her and then turned to Maverick."

Flash back

"David get Theressa out of here Now!"

"Why what's wrong?" David asked.

"Creed." Silver fox said.

That's all it took for Maverick to get the message. He, too, knew that Creed was a messed up fellow. David took Theressa in his arms and ran out the back door. He knew where Wolverine wanted him to go. So he headed to his safe house on Seventy-Third street in New York.

Back inside the cabin Wolverine is begging Silver Fox to leave as well.

"Fox, get your butt out of this house before you get killed."

"I'm not leaving you here alone with Creed. You two will be left here to fight forever. I married you and promised that I wouldn't leave your side until the day I die. I am not going anywhere. We are in this together."

"Now isn't that sweet. Too bad it has to end." Sabertooth said as he pushed the door in.

"How you doin' sweet thing?" Sabertooth asked Silver Fox. She glared at him evenly. Wolverine was right next to his wife.

"What do you want Creed?" Wolverine asked as he unsheathed his claws.

"I just want this sweet thing that's standing in front of me. I've broght her a little prestent."

"Stop calling me sweet thing Creed. You know good and well that I hate it." Silver Fox said as she kicked Creed in the gut and spun him around.

"What do you want?" She repeated Logan's question. Silver Fox was now digging one of her boot heals into Creed's gut and had the other planted fermly on the floor of the cabin. She looked at her husband and the leaned over her knee and repeated the question one more time. Creed only smiled and looked at Wolverine and then at Silver Fox.

"I've always wanted to do this." Creed said as he grabbed Fox's ankle and threw her up against the fireplace.

"You just asked for a beatin' bub." Wolverine said as he charged at Sabertooth and sunk his claws into Creed's huge skull. Sliver Fox slowly woke up after the two 'men' had been going at it for a few hours. Even though every bone in her body hurt like heck she wasn't going to let her husband do this alone. She stood to her feet.

"No one messes with the Silver Fox and gets away with it!" Silver Fox said as she reached for her gun that was on the mantale.

She blasted Sabertooth once in the chest, once in the head and once in the gut. Then she ran forward, made sure Logan was out of the way, and started beating on Creed. Logan kept on trying to find a place where he could jump in and help his wife but Fox wasn't going to let him. He knew that if he tried then he would probably kill Fox in the prosess.

"You shouldn't have done that sweet thing." Creed said.

He then dug his very sharp and long nails into Silver Fox's sides. Fox screamed with pain but did not stop fighting her enemy. She would not stop until one of them was dead and from the looks of it she would be the one to give in.

"Creed let go of her now!" Wolverine screamed at the top of lungs.

"What's wrong runt?" Creed said as he threw Silver Fox up against the fireplace once again. "You can't save your woman from a tereble fate?" Sabertooth said as he ran off into the woods. Wolverine was just about to go kill that fur ball when Silver Fox called to him.

"Logan, don't leave me." Logan knelt next to his wife and held her in his arms.

"I won't. I'm not going anywhere."

"Take care of Theressa. I love you dearly and I always will."

With that silver Fox leaned and kissed her husband romantically one last time. Then she closed her eyes and was gone.

End Flash Back

"I left the little house in the Canadian woods and I have never gone back." Wolverine paused before he continued. "I found you and David at his safe house in New York and he said that we could stay with him as long as we needed to. I knew that he loved you just as much as your mother and I did. I told him what had happened to Fox and that I had to give you to someone. The only question was to who? David gave me a name of one of his reletives that lived in Jasper, Texas. So I wrote a note pinned it to your shirt and we hopped on my bike to Texas. I kissed you and left you on their door step. I didn't stick around to see what the Conwells looked like. I didn't look back because I knew that if did then I would convince myself that I wasn't doing the right thing. I thought I was doing the right thing. I mean the black op life is no place for a baby. All that matter's now is that you know that I love you and that your mother loved you with all her heart. She would be here right now if she could." Logan said as he put his arm Theressa, kissed her on her brow and was about to walk to his bike when Theressa stopped him.

"Why didn't they tell me that I wasn't their real daughter?" Theressa asked as she looked at the two tombstones next to her.

They where the graves of her adoptive parents and the grave of all her knowlage of the two late people.

"Because they had come to love you as their own. Plus you were going threw so many changes they didn't want to bombard you with this, not to mention that you were only twelve years old. They probably thought you weren't ready."

"Can I ask you another question?"

"Shoot."

"Why didn't you tell me?"

"Because every time I thought 'bout telling you something always came up. For example, I was going to tell you when you were seventeen but Apocalypse took you. Everytime you had a kid it hurt me that they called me uncle instead of gramps or even grandpa. I wanted to tell you but...... but I was scared of how you would react. I want to have a relationship with you."

"Isn't that what we have?"

"Yeah, but it's not the same as a father daughter relationship. In a way it is but not really."

"Hey who knows this could be fun." Logan turned around to face his daughter. There was a rare smile playing about his lips but it was so dark that Theressa could barily make out his out line.

"So, does this mean that I have to call you dad?"

"No, not until you are ready too."

"Well, that explains why I still look like I'm twenty nine." Theressa said as she got off of the ground.

"What does?" Logan asked confused.

"You being my father. In most cases the mutant power of the child has nothing to with the mother or father's powers but in this case I must have a little bit of your healing factor. I mean if I didn't then I probably would have bleed to death when Sabertooth gave me that scar. Don't you think so?"

"Yeah, your probably right. So when you going to tell everyone?"

"Mickey has already taken care of that I'm sure."

"Do you need a ride back?"

"No, I flew here."

"Gettin' fancy?"

"Yeah, well. What can I say? I like to use my powers. Besides I'm not stupid enough to walk all the way from New York to Texas. Hey, do you want to race?" Theressa asked.

Wolverine could here that anxious tone in her voice.

"What the heck. Sure. I'll count to three when I get to my bike." Wolverine ran to his bike.

"One---Two...." Before he said three he took off.

Hey, That's not fair! Theressa said telepathically as she rocketed into the sky.

Whoever said that the Wolverine ever played fair?
