Updated 8 May 2007: Fixed a few typographical errors, changed the capitals back to italics and still think this story is a terrible representation of my writing skills. Also debated typing up the few paragraphs my younger self dubbed a "chapter" when this story was first written circa 2003, but have not come to any conclusions. (And just so you all know, ((grins)) this is not the 'redone' version mentioned in the author's note at the end!)

Many thanks to all who have reviewed; I would love to be able to continue this story (past what is already written, that is) but in all honesty I really can't remember where I was going with this story at all, so unless some new plot bunnies come along that will probably be it-- and the same goes for Beacon and Return

Thanks again,

My second story!! Just imagine that they've found all the black star dragonballs in two months and are back on earth. Okay? I've only seen about 10 episodes of DB GT since YTV keeps re-starting it, so I'm really sorry if I mess up ages or whatever. Also, let's all pretend, for this fanfic, that Goku has the brain he had when he was a kid, too. Here's the prologue.
Switched! - DBZ Prologue

"Grandpa?" Goku was staring off into space again. "Grandpa?!"

He suddenly turned around to face the speaker. "Huh? What is it, Pan?"

Why does he always look so blank? Pan wondered- not for the first time.

Pan stomped her foot. "Grandpa! We're supposed to be buying you more clothes for school- since we can't use the Black Star dragonballs to wish you back to normal without blowing up the planet- and because the police think you're twelve again!! Can't you please focus?!" She stopped as she noticed Goku heading towards the market. "No, Grandpa!! Stay away from the stores!!!"

"Hey, what's this button do?" Goku asked the salesman at a booth outside a store. Goten heard him, and he and Trunks, who had been anylysing Goten's Girl troubles (again) flew over to where Goku was being scolded by Pan (also AGAIN).

"-and Grandma made me promise that I wouldn't let you get into any trouble!"

"Come on, Pan," Goku whined, "all I did was ask what the button did! I didn't push it!" "Yeah, lay off, Pan!" Goten spoke up. "He didn't do anything- yet." He muttered the last part under his breath.

"Besides," Trunks added, "don't forget, last time- Ahh!!!"

Goku's head had knocked into a switch; Pan had just enough time to read ON before she was blinded by a huge light...

Author's note : Okay, yes it sucks, I'll redo it later. As in this chapter will be longer. For now, I have homework. ((shudders)) Cya peoples!!
