Disclaimer- I do not own Inuyasha. I can never hope to. This is my very
first one, although I wrote another one that's a truth or dare kind of
thing.

Okay, so for this chapter, it's more of a filler. Enjoy! Oh, and my up dates may be a little slow, but that's because my computer is SO screwed
up. Any way, summer is here and I'll have lots of time to write now!
Maybe I'll just use my brothers computer...

Chapter Seven

Days turned to weeks. Weeks turned to months. As it turned out, Sango really did get pregnant. Once the news was revealed (Because it was getting difficult to hide Sango's overly large stomach) every one was elated, especially Miroku. The new baby girl was finally born, and they named her Oki, meaning 'Middle of the Ocean' because though her hair was a dark chocolate brown, her eyes were a clear blue.

"Hmm, that is most unusually for you, Sango, are you sure that none of your family had blue eyes?" asked Kaede, studying the beautiful baby, Oki's eyes shinning back at her.

"Hai, I'm most positive", replied Sango, outstretching her arms so Kaede could place Oki in them.

"What about you Miroku?"

"Me? Ite, I don't think so..."

"Maybe one of your perverted relatives banged a blue eyed woman and left her before the baby was born", Inuyasha muttered under his breath.

"Inuyasha! That's so rude! SIT!" Kagome yelled, giving him a seriously disapproving look.

"OOOF!" Inuyasha grunted as he collided into the hut floor.

"If you'll excuse me, one of the village women is due to have a baby. My help might be needed", Kaede said, and exited the hut.

All the noise started to upset Oki, and then started to cry.

"Sshh... it's okay baby, Mommy's got you", cooed Sango, rubbing Oki's little back.

"Here", Miroku said, handing some beads to Oki to play with.

Once Oki had settled, Kagome spoke up.

"So, when are you two going to get married?"

"Were hoping either this or next week", said Sango, before Miroku could answer.

"Who's going to be your maid of honor?" asked Kagome.

"Maid of honor?" Sango and Miroku said together.

"Hai, because in my time, whenever a woman gets married, she chooses a maid of honor to stand next to her when she weds. It's usually a family member or close friend."

"Is there anything like that for a groom?" Miroku inquired curiously.

"Yes, it's similar, only the groom calls it a best man", Kagome answered.

"Keh, sounds silly if you ask me", snorted Inuyasha.

"No one asked you, so stop giving your opinion", Sango said coldly.

Inuyasha, taken aback by Sango's remark, just crossed his arms and thought, 'Well, someone's having some serious mood swings... I hope that never happens to Kagome... well, on the other hand, it would be great to have pups... ite! Stop thinking like that Inuyasha!'

"But anyways", Sango said, turning back to her usual self, "Kagome, would you please be my maid of honor?"

"I would love too!" Kagome squealed with excitement, and both girls clasped hands, grinning manically and giggling.

"Girls", Miroku said, rolling his eyes.

While Kagome and Sango were still doing their 'girly stuff', it became awkward between Inuyasha and Miroku.

"Er, so, Inuyasha... do you, uh, want to be my best man?" Miroku finally said.

"Uh, yea sure, thanks."

Kagome and Sango stopped obsessing and turned to look at the two blushing men.

"Ohh, so the Big Men finally want to participate too?" teased Kagome, smiling.

"Keh, if I have to", Answered Inuyasha.

Kagome shot him a look, but he ignored it, so she decided to start on other conversation.

"Sango, do you want the wedding to be a small gathering or a big celebration?"

"Hmm, I was really looking toward a small celebration, with just close family and friends. I suppose it will be just you, Inuyasha, Kaede, Shippou, Kirara, Oki, and of course Miroku and me. What do you think Miroku?"

"Uhh, that will be fine Sango! Whatever you want."

Miroku and Sango finally had their wedding a week later. It was in the Higurashi shrine, with exactly the people Sango had said a week earlier. Shippou was wearing a blue tuxedo, just his size that Kagome had bought for him in her time because it had looked so adorable. Kagome dressed herself in a light pink dress that she had worn to her cousin's marriage.

Inuyasha dressed him self in his same fire-rat clothing, though this time for some reason he looked more dignified and proper. Miroku was wearing a fine black suit; with a hint of Sengoku Jidai-, it had a cloth belt wrapped tightly around his waist, a deep purple, and the color of his regular robes. (He thanked Kagome for the suit and made the touches of the belt on his own.)

And finally, Sango. She was lavishly attired in a white kimono/dress, fit for any royalty in feudal Japan. It was strung with white lace that shimmered beautifully with a diamond brooch at her neck that Kagome had given her, which Kagome received from her grandmother a good while ago. The top half of the dress was like a kimono, the baggy flared sleeves, but when you looked lower, the kimono fanned out into a beautiful dress. The village women had made it after Kagome and Sango had thought of it.

Kaede dressed in one of her older finer robes, and prepared for the ritual of marriage. Everyone got in their places next to the bride and groom, with Sango carrying Oki who was in a little white gown of her own, and Shippou and Kirara as the audience.

Thirty minutes later, Miroku and Sango became man and wife. No rings were given, because that was a modern custom. There was a feast in the village, with long tables set out and everybody celebrating. A marriage was always a big thing in Musashi country. Miroku and Sango couldn't be happier. They could finally start a family.

Author's Notes

Hmm, so, what do you all think? My chapters are short, I know, but I just don't have the gift some people do. Oh well. Read and review, please!
