Chris walked from to the window and then back to the door. Andi sat on the
window seat in Knole's arms and Mian in Nethogent's arms. Storm and Mikie
sat on the sofa flipping threw the T.V. channels.
"Thank you Knole." Andi said as she laid her head back and looked up at him.
"For what?" He asked.
"For bringing my mom back and taking the X-men to the Shi'ar to rescue me. I'm sure it took a lot of power. Thank you!"
"Don't thank me. Black Fox isn't out of the woods yet. She's only in a small clearing."
"Just the same thank you."
"I hope she makes it." Mickey said with tears on his cheeks. Storm had tried to comfort the boy.
"We all do Michel. We all do." Storm told him as she stroked his short brown hair.
A few hours later Scott came up with Xavier. Everyone stood and Chris stopped pacing.
"Well?" Chris asked.
"It was a success. Their both fine but Theressa is not yet awake. You can go now but just don't over whelm them."
Everyone left except Knole. Andi stopped in the door way.
"Knole aren't you coming?"
"No, I think I'll hang back for awhile. You know until all of ya'll have seen her."
"You still think she doesn't like you, don't you?" Andi asked as she walked back into the room and grabbed Knole's hand.
"I'm sure she will love you once she learns that you saved her. Come on lets go catch up to the others.
When everyone got to the Med-room, Jean had said that only one person could come in at a time. Everyone told Chris to go. So when he did Theressa was just waking up. He sat in the chair right next to her bed and held her hand.
"Theressa." Chris said softly. He noticed her eyes open and a smile came into view. Her scar was a light blue but it had a hint of white.
"Hi. How you doing?" Chris asked.
"I've been better. How's Andrea?"
"She's fine. She wasn't dead at all. The last blast that they gave to her knocked her out. Listen, I would have been in here with you every step of the way but Jean said......."
"I know Logan told me that your pacing was to darn annoying. Where is everyone anyway?"
"They're all in the viewing room. Jean said that only one person was allowed in her at a time."
"Well, tell everyone that I said they could come in." Theressa said.
Chris turned around and saw everyone in the viewing room. He nodded and everyone came out. Chris propped Theressa up so she could see better. Theressa saw a furry blue ape like man that she had never seen before.
"Jean who is that?" Theressa asked when Jean got to her bed. Jean turned to the man and let him introduce himself.
He walked to the side opposite of Chris and began to speak.
"I am Hank McCoy also known as Beast. I helped Jean during the heart transplant."
"Yeah, I wish I helped you more than you helped me." Jean said.
"What group are you with?" Chris asked.
"I'm with the Advengerers. At one point I was with the X-men but not any more. I was the doc. before Jean took over."
"No matter who you are I owe you my life. Thank you." Theressa said.
"Actually, T," Logan said as he pushed Knole up to the front of the crowd. "You owe your life to Knole here. If it wasn't for him reviveing you than you would be dead."
"Is this true Knole?" Theressa asked.
"Yes ma'am." Theressa smiled. "
First one thing you have to learn about me boy. You never call me ma'am. You can call me T, Theressa, Black Fox, or Fox. I don't care as long as you don't call me ma'am. You got it?"
"Yes, ma.... Theressa."
"Secondly, Thank you very much for letting me see my family once more. You couldn't imagine how much that means to me. What can I do for you in return?"
"Accept me and allow me to date Andi." Knole said as quickly as he could. Andi came up behind Knole and grabbed his hand.
"Done. Can I ask a favor of you?" Thressa asked Knole.
"Sure."
"Can I see the face of the boy who saved me?" Knole looked at Andi and she nodded. Knole let Andi's hand go and he pulled his hood back to reveil the face that he had shown Andi only four days ago. For a moment no one said or did anything. Finally Andi took Knole's hand and kissed him on his cheek.
"Very well Andi. You have made your point very clear. You both have my blessing." Everyone left except or Logan and Chris.
"So how do you feel T?" Logan asked. "That ol' heart of mine giving you any trouble?"
"I feel like I was run over with a bulldozer and then it backed up and did it again to tell you the truth. Thanks Dad. I owe you."
"Yeah you do."
"How 'bout you just name me the best and we'll call it even?" Theressa joked.
"Hey that means you get more than I do. That ain't fair." Logan argued.
"Yeah well whoever said the Black Fox's plays fair?"
"Me. I did." Chris said as he tried to get a pice of the conversation.
"No you didn't" Theressa said as she laghed but her chest started to hurt even more. She laid back on her pillow and closed her eyes.
"Do you know what I wan to do right now?" She asked the two men.
"Yeah, go kick some bad guy butt." Chris said.
"No!"
"Even if you did, Jeannie said you can't do any activities for at least three weeks. That means I'll be taking over you class for that period of time." Wolverine said.
"I guess I have to warn them. Their ready to take on any one or anything. You just wait and see. No but seriously, do you know what I want to do?"
"No, what?" Chris asked.
"I want to seat at the kitchen window seat and eat a tub of mint chocolate ice cream as I watch the sun set."
"Well lets go get that ice cream." Wolverine said as he tried to help Theressa into a wheel chair but she said no thanks.
"T, I don't think you should be doing this." Chris said. "Jean's probably going to be ticked off if she finds you up there."
"Chris, stop worrying so much. I'll be fine."
"Yeah boy, that's another thing you need to know about T. She's always been the one to brake the rules. This is no exception."
"Fine but if Jean......"
"Give it a rest will you hon. If Jean says any thing about it I will deal with her the way I know how. Now, let's go." Theressa said as her husband and her father walked on either side of her as they walked toward the elevator.
