I was so young and lost that day...Running from a lie I'd known for years,
I couldn't think, I couldn't stop, too blinded by my tears.
Tired, alone, and broken, I stood on the verge of death and fell,
But you took me in your arms, held me close; it felt like I had awakened from a spell.
You gave me dignity and courage, then vanished without telling me your name,
A voice called to me and I awoke, alive but not the same.
The sweet perfume of roses marked your promise, leaving me with only your seal,
It might've been a dream, but this ring in my hand is proof enough that you were real.
Your kind words gave me hope, and have remained in my heart ever since.
I no longer wished to be a Princess to be rescued... Instead, I would be the Prince.
You had shown me I was never alone, you gave me strength to live a strong and noble life,
I now knew I could overcome any challenge, no matter the odds, I would rife.
So like a true Prince I shall be brave, I will not run from any fight,
With this rose seal and your memory, I shall stand firm to defend what is right.
Like you I shall be valiant, and protect the ones I love and the weak,
Yet, after all I've said and done... It is you, my Prince, that I seek.
That faithful day you promised me that we would meet again,
And I will keep on waiting for that promised moment, but until then...
I have met another, with eyes as lost as mine once were,
Now it's my turn to save the Princess, my turn to be there for her.
Alone, tired, and broken, she needs a Prince... A friend,
