This is from Phoebe's point of view about how she still loves Cole but knows she must go on without him. This takes place after the first vanquish not the one in Centennial Charmed. Please Review I'm slowly working my way up to a reg. Fanfic but I'm testing the waters with song fics and if I get good reviews this may turn into more.
It had been a year, a very long year, since they had vanquished Cole, but Phoebe still thought about him almost every day. It had been so hard to come to terms that he had became the Source and even harder knowing he was gone and she was the one to do it.
"Phoebes, earth to Phoebe!" Piper practicly yelled, waving a hand in front of her younger sister's face.
"Huh…oh…what." Phoebe replied coming out of her revere.
"I said did you want to go to the club with me tonight."
"Oh, no not tonight Piper, I think I'm just going to soak in the tub for awhile."
"Are you alright honey, you seem to be off in another world lately?"
"I'm fine, it's just work has been frantic." Phoebe lied
"Well, I gotta run but you know I'm here if you need me." Piper said as she walked to the door.
"I know but I'm fine really."
"Ok then I'll see you later."
"Night."
I know I never loved this way before And no one else has loved me more With you I've laughed and cried I have lived and died What I wouldn't do just to be with you
Phoebe sat in her room looking at the picture of her and Cole she kept in her dresser drawer, she knew her sisters would kill her if they knew how she still felt but she couldn't help it, he was her first and truth be told her only love. Even through the bad times the good times outweighed them all. But, she knew she had to forget him because he was never coming back. With that thought she undressed and got in the tub.
I know I must forget you to go on I can't hold back my tears too long Though life won't be the same I've got to take the blame And find the strength I need To let you go
"Why can't I just forget you?" Phoebe asked out loud.
She knew the answer to that, but she also knew she had too, because if she didn't she knew she would never be able to get on with her life. She just didn't know how to let him go and the only solution was to go back to the penthouse and say goodbye.
There'll never be a moment I'll regret I've loved you since the day we met For all the love you gave And all the love we made I know I've got to find the strength to say
As Phoebe opened the door to the penthouse all the memories came flooding back like premonitions, but she would not let herself break down, she came here to let him go and that was what she was going to do.
"Oh, Cole baby, I miss you so much but I have to move on with my life and forget you cause if I don't I can't move on. I know I will never find another love like yours and even though I hate you for what you became, that will never change all the good times we shared and I will never have any regrets about loving you and I know a part of me will love you forever. I wish I could change everything bad that happen but I can't so I must start a new life, without you. Goodbye Cole." and with that she walked out and headed back to the manor, she never seen the figure hidden in the shadows wiping away tears.
