*A/N* Hey all, I revised the first three chapters, nothing big. I just noticed that I got some things conflicted and changed it so it made sense. If you guys notice me doing it again please leave me a note so I can fix it (smiles).
Also this started out as a Phoebe/Cole story but it has kinda taken on a life of it's own, if you guys are liking it this way let me know cause I'm thinking of making it a series but, don't worry Phoebe and Cole's fate together will be revealed in this story (smiles).

Matthew was very pleased with himself, he had William killed and now Brenna was missing. The only hitch was the other Elders had decided to make Pru her white lighter but, as long as Paige kept up on saying Brenna was nothing but evil and after the talk he was planning on having with Cassandra all would be as planned. He laughed as he orbed down to Cassandra.
"Will, it's about time, what took you so long." Cass said looking up from the stove and seeing it wasn't William. "Who the hell are you?" she demanded.
"My name is of no importance, I am here to tell you that William has been killed." Matthew said.
"No, your wrong, he'll be home any time now." Cassandra said even as tears started to well up in her eyes.
"It's true, and you must do something about it for your daughter is also missing."
"Brenna…"
"And there is something you must know, it was the Elders who had him killed and they want Brenna dead as well."
"That's not possible, the Elders are the essence of good, and they would never condone, let alone do something like this."
"They are afraid of the girl's power, they feel that she will overthrow them if she comes to full strength." Matthew lied.
"I don't believe you."
"That is up to you, but as the rightful heir as the Source, now is the time to act, the underworld is in chaos and in need of a leader. If you take your place you will have the power to destroy the Elders before they can carry out there plan."
"No, I renounced that title long ago and I will have no part of that."
"Very well then, you will get a call confirming what I told you and when you know the truth you will see that is the only way to save your daughter."
"Why are you telling me this, you're a white lighter."
"Yes, but let's just say that the Elders have gone too far and have become laxed and it is time for a new order."
"I still don't understand."
"You will." and with that Matthew orbed out leaving Cassandra confused and in denial.
"If it's true I will do whatever it takes to save my daughter." Cass said out loud as she broke down.
MANOR
Cole shimmered in after about thirty minutes and still hadn't been able to find Brenna. He walked into the attic where Piper and Phoebe was scrying for her and noticed that Paige was no where to be found. Phoebe looked up when he walked in and said "Did you find her?"
"No, I've looked everywhere that she would possible go." Cole said sitting on the couch in defeat.
"Don't worry we'll find her Cole, I promise." Phoebe said sitting down next to him.
"Leo is out looking for her as well." Piper added.
"I hope so, I don't want her to end up like me."
"What do you mean?" Piper asked.
"It just, you know, she has a choice" Cole started trying to put his feelings into words "I never had that option and I will do everything in my power to make sure that it doesn't happen to her."
"It sounds like she is very important to you." Phoebe said with a bit of jealousy.
"Next to you Phoebe, she is the second most important thing in my life, over these last three months we have become really good friends and I don't want to screw it up like I did with you."
Phoebe just sat there almost in shock over what he had said. After everything that happen between them he was still doing everything in his power to be good and she knew that Brenna couldn't have had a better teacher and friend.
"Don't worry Cole, everything will be fine." Piper said seeing him in a different light. Just then Brenna and Prue orbed in.
"Where have you…" Piper started then seeing Pru stopped short. "Pru!"
"Yes." Pru answered smiling at her younger sisters.
"Pru, oh my god." Phoebe said as her and Piper rushed Pru and gave her a hug.
"What are you doing here?"
"Well the Elders felt it was the right time for you guys to see me again and I'm going to be Brenna's white lighter."
"I don't believe this" Piper said crying "I tried everything to see you again and nothing work and…"
"I know Piper, but it was too soon you guys had to learn to live without me and I can see you've done excellent." Pru said.
"It was so hard." Phoebe added crying as well.
"I know, I wanted to come back so much but, now I'm here and I don't plan on going any time soon."
"Just in case anyone was worried, I'm back" Brenna said smiling at the sight of the sisters.
"I was." Cole stated serious.
"Yes, but Cole you always worry." Brenna laughed as she sat on his lap.
"Don't he though." Phoebe said smiling and added "But you did give us a scare and we're glad you're alright."
"Yes, and if you ever do that again, you are in so much trouble." Piper added
"I am sorry, it was just a lot to take in, what in like 15 minutes, my whole life just changed…Again." Brenna said exasperated "I mean three months ago I find out I'm part witch and demon and have to move out here to hone my skills. Which was a huge change but, it wasn't to hard to adjust cause basically I was the same person just with cool powers then in a matter of minutes I lose my father and find out that am an heir to, what comes down to, all the evil known to man and it was a lot to handle."
"She is defiantly a Halliwell, listen to her ramble." Pru said smiling.
"Do not." Brenna replied smiling in turn.
Piper and Phoebe sat down on each side of Cole and took Brenna's hand and Piper said. "Brenna I know this is going to be hard and I won't sit here and tell you that I know how you feel cause I don't but I do know that you are not evil and we will help you every step of the way no matter what."
"But what if that isn't enough?"
"It will be and don't worry, all of us have been evil at some point, I've been a banshee, Queen of the Underworld, Piper's been a Wendigo, possessed by a sprit, Pru has been a warlock and Paige was an evil sorceress and a vampire. Plus there's a few other things that I can't recall at the moment but the point is we've all been tempted by evil yet we overcame it no matter how hard it was and you will too."
"Damn Phoebe are you trying to comfort her or scare her." Pru exclaimed.
"It's ok, I understand what she's saying and it does make me feel better knowing what you guys have been through."
"Good, cause we have a ton of stories." Piper said laughing. Just then Leo and Paige orbed in.
"You found her." Leo exclaimed "I've been all over looking for you, literally."
"Yeah, I had a talk with my white lighter and came back."
"Your white lighter?" Leo asked then saw Pru. "Pru!" he said walking up and giving her a hug "I told you the Elders would let you come back."
"I know but, to me it just wasn't soon enough."
"Well you're here know and that's all that matters" Phoebe said smiling.
"Hi Pru." Paige greeted sheepishly.
"Hi, Paige, I've heard so much about you, and I'm glad I finally get to meet you." Pru said walking up and giving her a hug.
"I'm happy to meet you too."
"Oh, shit!" Brenna suddenly sighed.
"What is it Bren?" Cole asked instantly worried.
"I have to call mom and let her know that dad is dead." Brenna said, starting to cry again.
"She's not going to take it well is she?" Piper asked more than stated.
"I honestly don't know, I mean she'll be devastated but, it may be more."
"Why's that?" Paige asked.
"Let's see, maybe because the whole reason she switched sides was because of Will and with him gone she may not stay good." Cole said glaring at Paige.
"Hey! I just asked a question, no need…."
"Paige, please." Piper said warily.
"Cole's right, do you want to call her or go to her."
"I think I should go and I'll take dad's body back with me so he can have a proper burial." Brenna replied getting off Cole's lap.
"We'll go with you." Phoebe volunteered.
"You don't…"
"No arguments, we're going and that's final." Pru said.
"Alright, let's get ready than." Brenna said as they all went back downstairs and stood by William's body.
"Everyone ready." Leo asked.
"I'm going to stay." Cole said stepping back.
"Why?" Brenna asked.
"Let's just say I knew your mom from a long time ago and I think I'm the last person she would want to see now."
"OK, we'll be back soon." Brenna told him giving him a hug.
"Cole, make yourself at home, we all need to talk when we get back." Piper added as they all orbed/shimmered to Memphis.
Cole was a little surprised by Piper's comment but thought, "Maybe, just maybe, I'll have a chance."
