PENTHOUSE A WEEK LATER
Brenna had just gotten up and was in the kitchen making breakfast and thinking about her mom. They had managed to get some potions made that may save her but no one was sure if they would work or not. There had not been any more attacks since the demons showed up at the attic and Brenna really did not want to know what that meant, she knew her mom and she never gave up on anything. So now, it had just become a matter of waiting. Brenna went to Cole's door and knocked knowing he was not in there by himself.
"Come in." Cole said.
"I just want to let you guys know breakfast is ready." Brenna said opening the door a crack and not looking in.
"Alright, we'll be out in a minute." Phoebe said.
"Ok." Brenna said and headed back to the kitchen smiling to herself and said to no one in particular "What happen to taking it slow?" and to answer her own question she just shook her head and laughed. About five minutes later Phoebe and Cole entered the kitchen hand in hand and smiling.
"I see you guys had a good time last night." Brenna stated and Cole blushed.
"Oh yeah." Phoebe said sitting at her plate as Cole blushed even harder and Phoebe and Brenna cracked up laughing.
"It isn't funny." Cole defended as he sat down between Phoebe and Brenna.
"It's privileged information." Cole said in his best lawyer voice.
"Yeah, well when I can't sleep because of the giggling and other noises, I become privileged." Brenna said laughing even harder at Cole expression.
"Sorry about that Bren." Phoebe said still laughing.
"I give up, there is no winning with you women."
"Damn straight." Phoebe and Brenna said in unison finally just returning to giggles.
"This is almost better than Piper's cooking." Phoebe said after all the laughter and giggles died down.
"I wouldn't go that far, I've had Piper's cooking." Brenna said slightly blushing at the compliment.
"I don't know I think it's a tie." Cole said.
"Ok, I'll take the compliment, just don't tell Piper." Brenna said smiling. They finished breakfast chatting about Brenna's training and everyday things. They had just finished the dishes when Thena flamed in the living room.
"Mom!" Brenna exclaimed wanting to run up and hug her but knew she could not.
"Well, what do we have here, Balthazar I see the rumors were true."
"I'm not Balthazar anymore." Cole said stepping in between Thena and the girls.
"Always the hero, there's no need for that, I didn't come to harm any of you. I just want Brenna to come with me and take her rightful place."
"No, I can't do that mom." Brenna said stepping up.
"It is your destiny."
"No, it isn't, you know that, it's what dad gave his life for, so that I wouldn't be evil."
"Things change Brenna, all the goodness in this family died with him."
"You can't believe that."
"I can when it was the so called good Elders that decided that you and your father weren't worth saving."
"The Elders had nothing to do with it mom."
"They did! I have from a white lighter, that they killed your father and that your next." Thena replied angrily.
"Is that why you went back to evil, because someone pretending to be a white lighter told you this."
"I turned back to evil to get revenge."
"Then, I'm sorry mom, I can't and won't have anything to do with that."
"Then I am sorry also, for you will join me either the hard way or the easy way, and it may be easy seeing since the Charmed ones don't have the power of three at the moment." Thena said looking at Phoebe then flaming out.
"No!" Brenna yelled turning and grabbing Cole and Phoebe and orbing them to the manor. They got there just in time to see six demons appear in the attic and attack Piper and Paige. The girls' magic still was not working but they had made potions just in case and were using them to weaken the demons and Brenna and Cole was using their powers to finish them off. Just as they were kicking demon ass one of the demons looked up and said.
"Let's go, we'll be back." As the other demons shimmed out and the one, who spoke looked at Piper and said. "But at least we can kill one Charmed one and her spawn before we go." And with that, he formed a fireball and threw it at Piper but Brenna saw it and jumped in front of Piper just in time to be hit full blast in the chest.
"Nooo!" Cole yelled and ran over to Brenna.
"The only way to save her is to give her to me." Thena said as she flamed in.
"No." Piper said.
"Very well, I'm sure you know how to summon me when you need me." Thena replied then flamed out.
"LEO!" Phoebe yelled.
"What did she mean that she is the only one who can save you?" Paige asked.
"Because Leo won't be able to heal me because I'm half demon." Brenna said trying to ignore the pain.
"The hell he can't. LEO!" Piper yelled again.
"What happen?" Leo asked as he orbed in and knelt beside Brenna.
"Cassandra or Thena or whatever the hell her name is sent demons in and they left but one tried to kill Piper and Brenna jumped in the way." Paige explained hurriedly. Leo put his hands over Brenna's chest and they glowed for a few moments then the light faded.
"I can't heal her completely." Leo said.
"Wait, I can help, I can heal demons and with Paige being half white lighter and Pru we can do this." Cole said with desperation in his voice.
"Pru!" Piper yelled
"What the hell happened?" Pru said as she orbed in.
"Heal now, explanations later." Phoebe said as Cole, Leo, Paige and Pru formed a circle around Brenna and they each put a hand on her wounds. Within minutes, she was as good as new again.
"Thank You." Brenna said giving each one a hug.
"No problem, plus we kinda like having you around." Leo said.
"Ok, now I have a question, Piper do you have something to tell us?" Brenna asked.
"Not that I know of." Piper answered confused.
"It's just that the demon said he was getting rid of a Charmed one and her spawn, and then threw a fire ball." Brenna said a smile beginning to form.
"Oh my…" Piper said sitting down on the floor.
"You're pregnant!" Phoebe, Paige and Pru said in unison.
"I guess I am." Piper said as everyone gathered around to give their congratulations.
MEANWHILE IN THE UNDERWORLD
"I don't believe this." Thena said throwing a goblet against the wall. "I thought I had her this time, damn that Balthazar."
"My liege." a demon came in and knelt before her.
"What." Thena said pissed.
"There is a white lighter here to see you."
"Send him in."
"I see you have made yourself right at home." Matthew said.
"We'll evil does seem to suit me. What do you want?" Thena asked.
"I've just come to check on your progress."
"Really."
"But I see that you are having problems."
"Well instead of bitching why don't you help."
"I thought you would never ask." Matthew said with a smirk.
"Do you have a plan?" Thena asked annoyed with his attitude.
"I just may." Matthew said and started telling Thena the plan.
