Disclaimer: I don't own it and I don't pretend to. This is J.K's world, I just play in it.

Author's Note: Written for the Murder challenge at the Covenites livejournal. I would like to state that this is a Read At Your Own Risk fic pairing-wise- RAYOR for short. Please keep that in mind and don't flame me if you're annoyed by the pairing. That's all.

I remembered him long after graduation- his eyes made him hard to be forgotten. I didn't know that we'd meet up again seven years later, that we'd fall in love, that we'd marry; but I was happy. I didn't know Voldemort would once more target us.

I didn't know it would come to this. Me facing the greatest Dark Wizard in the world as he scrambled to take our visiting so-called 'niece' upstairs- George and Hannah's baby girl. "Run! I'll hold him off!" I screamed after him as he went, moments before our happy home turned cold and dark from his presence.

He smirked, and shivers went down my spine. Wordlessly, we bowed, facing each other warily.

I shot the first curse, setting his cloak on fire. He removed it without much thought, tossing it over- if he hadn't lazily flicked his wand and spoke the spell to put out the flames, the couch would have set on fire. We sent spells back and forth for a while, but he was just toying with me, I knew. Before my death.

His wand movement was lazy, his voice cold as he spoke the final spell I'd know. I heard my love's cry behind me- "Neville!" he shouted, his voice angry and fearful. It would be his turn next, the last battle that would determine this world.

"Avada Kedavra," Voldemort said to me, and a flash of vibrant green- green the color of my Harry's eyes- rushed to meet me.

I heard Harry's cry as he rushed forward, saw the green block out everything, and then it grew dark and I knew no more.
