He Said No
He said no.
You put your heart on the line and he said no.
A part of you isn't surprised.
You really aren't what he wants or needs, you remind yourself.
Or maybe, he's not what you want or need either, you console yourself.
Only it doesn't help.
You wanted to be wanted.
Wanted him to love you enough.
Wanted to be his.
Needed him to say yes to show that he does want you no matter what may come. He claims it's because of all the havoc going on in your lives.
Because you're too young.
You believe differently.
But it's ok.
You always knew it would be like this.
You should be glad that you found out now, before you got in even deeper.
Only you aren't.
And you wonder how much deeper you can go.
But you have an answer now at any rate.
An answer, heartbreak, and tears.
You also now have the impedious to let go and move on.
