(Note: I wrote this a long time ago, possibly four or five years ago... I just never thought of posting it here. Only minor spelling errors have been corrected since the original creation of the poem.)
Ode to Eevee
The morning sun shines on the mountainous land
I hold out the Pokeball that is in my hand
I see lots of Pokemon run across the grass
I give a them a smile as I see them run past.
I look back at my Pokeball and set it aside
I am very happy to own what's inside
I pick it up again and throw it to the ground
The Pokeball explodes with quite a loud sound.
A very small creature escapes from the ball
It weighs fourteen pounds and is one foot tall
It has long, brown ears and a bushy tail
With this Eevee, I shall never fail.
I take Eevee outside to go and battle
A girl with Tauros and other cattle
Eevee was strong and I have a solution:
Eevee should take part in evolution!
The first choice: Vaporeon, a Pokemon of the sea
It is as strong and as graceful as it can be
It makes all the ground Pokemon yell, "Yipes!"
And dampens the spirits of fire types.
The second choice: Jolteon, a lightning dog
It lights up the land when in dense fog
It playfully zaps those stuck in the sea
And shocks the birds who are trying to get free.
The third choice: Flareon, a Pokemon of flames
It is not to be messed with when playing games
The bug and grass types will have to pay
If they cannot get away.
The fourth choice: Espeon, the psychic one
Known for its powers by everyone
Other psychic types will want to watch out
This psychic dog might burn them out.
The last choice: Umbreon, forever dark
Evil has always been its mark
Psychic types can't handle these different powers
Espeon runs away and cowers!
I think for a moment, then take Eevee inside
It is just too hard to decide
I cannot see which evolution is best
But then I say this, "Eevee is better than the rest!"
If you have a problem of Eevee evolution
You may also come up with the same solution
Your Eevee may not be as good as hers or his,
But I like my Eevee the way it is!
