Hermione entered the Great Hall with her two best friends by her sides. She glanced over to the Slytherin table and making eye contact with an old enemy, her heart catching a beat when he made eye contact, and smiled. As she sat down, an unfamiliar owl swooped down and dropped a letter in front of her. It read:
Hermione,
As you know the war is in full on rage. Your father and I have spent too many nights awake worrying about your safety at school and since the year is almost over, we have decided it would be best to take you out of there as soon as possible. Take the 3 O'clock train tomorrow, and where we will meet you at the station. It would be best if you didn't tell anybody.
Love, Mum and Dad
"W-What?" Hermione asked no one in particular staring at the letter. "What is it, Hermione?" Harry asked, staring at her confused.
Hermione dropped the letter, tears slowly building up in her eyes. Standing up suddenly, surprising Harry and Ron, she quickly made her way toward the doors. Wiping at her eyes, she glanced quickly to Draco, and exited. She went straight to the Head Girl's and Boy's dormitory.
"Bloody parents! Bloody war!" She was now sobbing freely, almost choking, she buried her head into her pillows, intending to suffocate herself to death.
Meanwhile, Draco was startled to see Hermione run out so quickly. He stood up to follow her. Walking quickly to their shared dormitory he knocked and entered, seeing her shaking violently. He hurried over, and touched her back gently, feeling her jump.
"Hermione? What is it?" He sat down by her side. She rolled over and stared up at him, sniffling. He helped her sit up, and put his arm around her, holding close.
"I h-have to leave." Laying her head on his shoulder, and breathing deeply.
"What are you talking about?" Smelling her sweet hair.
"Tomorrow, I have to...go home. My parents are worried about me, with the war and all. And I don't blame them. V-Voldemort could be anywhere." Her eyes tearing up again.
He stared at her, taking in what she said, and then kissed her gently. And then more urgently. This is the part where Hermione would have normally stopped, but she didn't this time. Instead, she removed his shirt, and slowly slipped off her own. ...
-The next day-
Draco glanced down at his watch.
"Bloody hell! Two thirty already!" If he didn't hurry, he'd miss Hermione. He took a carriage to Hogsmeade, this being a Hogsmeade weekend and all. First, going to the flower shop, he picked up white roses. It was already 2:50.
He then ran to the train station, panting hard, he glanced around frantically. They had decided to meet here after their night. Thinking back on it he remembered how she seemed slightly reluctant to go all the way.
Hermione heard to train whistle and looked out the window. She spotted Draco with the flowers, her eyes feeling up with tears once again, when they made eye contact. The train slowly started to move forward, and Draco mouthed something to her. She didn't understand what, though.
Draco stared off as the train disappeared from view and slowly let the flowers fall from his hands. He turned around and started walking back to Hogwarts, having an awful feeling that'd he'd never see her again.
