Tiger Lily

Alone

Trowa stood in the doorway of his appartement debating whether to go in or to go out for the evening. He opened the door and threw down his books.
"Trowa? That you?" His room mate Heero yelled from the kitchen.
"Yeah it is Heero. Why are you in the kitchen?"
"Oh just making some dinner for Birdie."
"Keira's coming over this evening?"
"Yeah. I told her I'd cook something good for her."
"Well I'm gonna go out to that club downtown."
"You don't wanna stay to eat?"
"Naw. Thanks though. I'll grab something there."
"Ok. Have a good time then."
"yeah. Thanks."
Trowa went into his bedroom and stripped off his clothes. He got into the shower. He forgot to let it warm up and cursed at the freezing temperature. Trowa emerged from the bathroom with a towel around his waist and walked to his closet. He pulled out a green turtle neck and form fitting leather pants. He loved to look good. He gelled his hair and brushed his teeth. Then he used some mouthwash, just to make sure his breath wouldn't kill anyone.
"See ya Heero."
"Bye Trowa. Be careful. The roads are icy still."
"Gotcha."
Trowa walked down the stairs. Somehow he wasn't looking forward to going out. He'd been out so many times searching for someone he could be happy with. No one had ever caught his fancy. Something told him that this time wouldn't be any different.
He opened the door to his black cavalier and sat down inside. He turned his radio up and pulled out of the apartment complex. His sights were set on the Lava sign outside the new club. It was a small place and didn't look too busy. He had a hard time finding a place to park though. When he found a spot that he agreed with, he got out of his car and paid his 20 bucks to get in. There were tons of people dancing. He found a table and sat down. That feeling of being watched settled on Trowa and he looked up into a pair of violet eyes.
"Hello." The violet eyed man said.
"Hi." Trowa said in return.
"Who might you be?"
"Trowa."
"Duo Maxwell here and this is Quatre."
"Good to meet you."
"you dance?" Duo asked Trowa with a look of hope in his eyes.
"Yeah."
"Why aren't you then?"
"No one to dance with."
"Damn, come with us. Have we got a place for you!"
Before Trowa could mutter a word of agreement, he was pulled off his feet and clung on to by Duo and Quatre on either side. People all around cleared the way for the threesome. Some reached out to touch Trowa as if he was a rock star of some sort. Duo and Quatre had led Trowa to a staircase that lead down to a small room. Trowa looked up through glass panels on the ceiling and realized they were the dance floor.
"Pretty nice huh?" A familiar voice said from behing a curtain.
"Ashelin?"
"Yes indeed. Trowa Barton."
