Remus Lupin opened the door to Number 12 Grimmauld Place, his lined face drawn in a tight frown. He would find that son of a bitch and kill him too, even if it was the last thing he did. He walked out into the cold, London street, his hands balled into fists, slamming the door hard behind him.

Chapter 1: The Grim Meeting at Grimmauld Place
"Attention, may I have your attention please?" boomed Albus Dumbledore. Harry couldn't help but notice that the usual sparkle in Dumbledore's eyes had diminished. It was only a week after his graduation from Hogwarts and he had already been to over a dozen meetings for the Order of the Phoenix. Every meeting had been as joyous as a serious meeting could be, the Order was capturing more and more Death Eaters by the day, but now the tone was almost as grim as a funeral. "I have some terrible news to announce," Dumbledore continued, "Yesterday, two of our number were captured by Death Eaters," the room gasped and Mrs. Weasley let out a little cry. "Both Kingsley Shacklebolt and Alastor Moody are being held hostage as we speak. They were on a top-secret mission, and how Voldemort" (a large number of the group winced), "discovered thier whereabouts is anybody's guess, but it does make one doubt the loyalty of our members," Dumbledore paused and looked around the room, "If we are to save our fellow members and friends, we must act quick. I will need to assemble a group so we can save Kingsley and Moody. Please stay behind if you would like to embark on this dangerous mission. Meeting dismissed." Most of the members left the room, but about ten of them stayed behind, Harry among them.
Dumbledore stared at the small group in front of him. Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley stood near the front, Severus Snape, Elphias Dodge, Fred Weasley, George Weasley, Luna Lovegoood and Hestia Jones behind them, and Remus Lupin and Nymphadora Tonks were standing (very close, Dumbledore noticed) together in the back. "So this is the group who is going to save Moody and Kingsley" Dumbledore thought with a
smile.
A/N: Yes, this chapter is unbearably short, but I promise the next one will be much longer.
