Moonlight Girl
Looking at you, sweet-faced girl, I see that

you are much like the heavenly
bodies I watch in the night sky.
Not so much like a twinkling star,
but a beacon like the full moon.

On the far side of that brightest body
are scars and craters we never see
that the moon hides from mortal view;
it only lets us see it shine brightly

with help from the rays of the sun.
You too illuminate a silver path for all
who steadfastly believe in you,
my bright-eyed, shining moonlight girl.

Ah, sweet Eichi-kun :) This was from him to Mitsuki, illustrating the whole full moon metaphor. It's kind of (sort of) written in blank verse, though not all the lines are iambic pentameter … but who really cares, right? (I guess English teachers would …) Don't forget to leave a review! (those periods are just there to separate the stanzas, by the way)
