I was humming this song while re-reading 'Mister Monday' and couldn't believe how much the lyrics applied to Monday's Dusk. It works a lot better without my additions.

Monday and the Morrow Days have gone too far. I agree that I have done precious little in the past to stop them, but they are stronger than I. I cannot control the Morrow Days, or even Monday – but perhaps I may stop Noon or Dawn.

Nothing will change without effort. I must devote myself to the Will, and aid the Heir. He is the only hope we have: no Denizen could fulfil the Will now that the Trustees have gone back on their word.
